splendies underwear subscription package

Splendies is a monthly subscription that sends you three pairs of underwear. You select your size and preferred style, and the company delivers pairs to match your needs in a pretty, patterned envelope. The undies are all new, though they don't always come with tags nor their original packaging.

splendies package

Splendies offers two subscription levels—the Splendies subscription for sizes S, M, L, and XL ($13.99 per month), and the Volupties subscription for sizes 1X, 2X, and 3X ($16.99 per month).

This is a review of the Splendies membership (I'm usually a size large) for $13.99 per month.

Trick-or-Treating Devil Puppy Thong, Size Large - Retail Value $12.00

Those were words I never expected to say together, haha! This pair of thong undies is pretty cute, though it feels a little juvenile for my taste (especially in terms of thongs to wear...). They're knit, but made of a rayon-spandex blend, as opposed to a cotton blend, which I prefer. The wide waistband makes them pretty comfortable and forgiving, too. They don't feel like the most high-quality pair, but they're definitely different and perfectly seasonal.

The price is what's listed as the MSRP on the Splendies tag, FYI.

Jack-o-Lantern Cat Panties, Size Large - Retail Value $12.00

Another super-cute pattern that feels just a little too childish for me—this kitty would be so cute as a sticker or on Halloween greeting cards, but it's not quite my style when it comes to underwear. These cheeky-cut undies have the lace waist that I like (I find they create a nicer silhouette that undies with more defined trim), and the fabric (another rayon-spandex blend) is soft and light. The fabric seems a little thin—the printed cats stretch out and get a little distorted and faded when you pop 'em on.

Purple Striped Panties, Size Large - Retail Value $12.00

This was the only pair in the set that had a non-Splendies tag on it. These are by a brand called Miss Vickie's, which was hard to find online. (I kept bumping into sites selling the potato chip brand, haha!) They're a poly-elastane blend and have the lace trim I like. They have more of a smooth, sleek, synthetic feel to them than the other two pairs, but the fabric is similarly thin and soft. Pretty comfy, too!

The Verdict: This pack of  Splendies wasn't my favorite, just because of the strong, kind of cartoony Halloween slant. The quality seemed to be on par with cheaper, novelty undies you might find at the mall in a bulk bin—not amazing, but still comfy. And as usual, this subscription was certainly convenient. No digging through bins at the store for my size!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Each Splendies shipment is based partially on what's available for your size and style preferences, so it's possible that you might get something slightly different. Order now and see what you end up with!

Value Breakdown: This pack cost me $13.99 with free shipping, but going by the MSRP prices on each tag, I got $36.00 worth of undies inside. That means that I paid $4.66 per each pair. $12.00 felt a little high to me, but $4.66 seems reasonable for what I got.

I’m interested in how these are in sizing. Do they run big? Small? I’d like to try this sub but I’m between XL and 1X and I’d rather not spend the extra 3 bucks if possible.

Hi Gloria! These were all size larges. I’m usually a size large (I wear about a 10 in jeans usually) and on the curvy side. They definitely fit, but they’re on the smaller end – the best way I can describe it is that they feel more like a juniors large than a women’s section large, if that makes sense. Probably not the news you wanted to hear, haha! It’s definitely frustrating that you have to pay more to get plus size pieces :/

Thanks so much for your question – I hope this info is helpful!

OK, makes sense. Thank you!

I had a sub for like a year or so and they started sending me pairs they had previously and when I emailed customer service they were indifferent. Also, I tried to use a coupon to start a second sub for my daughter and they actually emailed me and told me I couldn’t have the $4 off because I wasn’t a new subscriber. Good customer service these days seems to be a lost art.

I used to sub to them and did like what I received. I want to gift one to my sis for xmas if they have a decent Black Friday deal. I agree this month wouldn’t have been that great for me either, though. For the most part, they sent really cute undies!
