I love the fresh design of this subscription's packaging. This pocket holds a bunch of cards that serve as the information cards for the box.

There are cards for each individual product. On the back, there are cute designs like the one above.

Pure Cosmetics 3D Fiber Lash Mascara - Retail Value $30.00

Big, bold lashes are one of my favorite holiday party accessories, so I was excited to see this two-step kit in the box. In addition to a regular tube of mascara, there's also a tube of lengthening "fibers". Essentially, you sweep the first coat of black mascara over your lashes, then a coat of the fibers (which cling to the mascara and make lashes look longer), followed by another coat of black mascara to seal the fibers down. The fibers are such a strange product to work with! The brush is basically dry—it's kind of like a little spool of very fine, short hairs. They definitely make your lashes look fuller, but not as naturally as I would've liked. The mascara, however, did a nice job of making my already-dark lashes look bolder and more pronounced.

earrings earrings and backings earrings

Violet & Brooks Mosaic Crystal Earrings - Listed Value $28.00

Ooo, I like these dime-sized earrings! They've got plenty of twinkle thanks to all of their rhinestones, plus the gunmetal and diamond color palate gives them a more modern vibe that I'm into. I couldn't find these specific earrings, online, but I did notice that some of this brand's pieces made Oprah's Favorite Things list! If you're not into these earrings, I bet they'd make a great gift for a fashionable friend.

earrings

I threw the earrings on so you could get an idea of scale. I'd also just tried on the lash kit treatments, so you can see how they impact my otherwise makeup-free eyes!

Hallmark Home Holiday Cheeseboard - Retail Value $25.00 (Found here for $20.00)

What a cute idea for a holiday cheeseboard! This wooden pine tree comes with a cheese knife that looks like an axe—it even rests neatly in a groove at the tree's trunk. I like the playful vibe of this piece. The patterns in the tree (I can't tell whether they're burnt in or stained...) are super cute, too. This is another item that'd make a great gift if it's not up your alley!

fuzzy socks fuzzy socks fuzzy socks fuzzy socks

World's Softest Cozy Low Socks - Retail Value $9.99, Listed Value 9.00 (Found here for $8.99)

Part of me is like, oh, meh, socks. But especially when it's chilly out, I looooove a pair of super snuggly socks. These chenille socks are fuzzy, cozy, soft, and not so warm that I'll kick them off in bed at night. The snowflake pattern is a bit holiday specific, but I can see myself scooting around the hardwood in these long into February!

tag on bag of biscotti tag on bag of biscotti biscotti drizzled with chocolate toffee toffee toffee

CST Treats Toffee and Biscotti - Listed Value $11.00

Mmm... I love biscotti. Sometimes it can be a little on the dry side, so I was delighted by how cookie-like (rather than rock-like) these two-bite bits were. They had a lovely light almond flavor and subtle sweetness, not to mention a kick of chocolate from the drizzle. Toffee is a little less my thing, but I appreciated how rich and toasty these bits were. My one bite instantly got stuck in my teeth (hey, that's what toffee does), so I took a sip of coffee right after—an unintentionally delicious move that I highly recommend!

The combo in this box seems a bit different than what CST Treats sells in their shop, so I'll go by the listed value of these goodies to value them.

pinot noir

2015 New Crush Pinot Noir - Retail Value $19.99

Onto the wines! The first is a pinot noir that has a lot of mushroomy, raisin-y flavor. It's light on the palate, though, unlike a hefty Cabernet. While this wasn't my favorite red, it's definitely friendly enough to enjoy during a cozy night on the couch watching holiday movies with pals.

chardonnay

2014 Night Vine Chardonnay - Retail Value $27.99

I've been getting very into Chardonnay lately, and examples like this are why. This white wine is velvety smooth and gently sweet. It's got a vanilla-ish nature to it, plus a hint of tartness that keeps me going back to sip more. Yum!

The Verdict: I feel like I got a good deal of holiday surprises out of this box! The quality of each item was really nice—the goodies were tasty, the earrings were really pretty and solidly made, and the mascara did a nice job. The red wine wasn't impressive (though I really liked the white wine), but it was still a nice treat that saved me a trip to the wine shop. I also appreciate that most of the items in the box were good enough to regift if I didn't feel like keeping them myself.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! Quantities are limited, so hurry!

Value Breakdown: This quarterly box costs $59.99, but had approximately $151.97 worth of value inside. That means that each individual item cost me about:

  • Earrings - $11.05
  • Cheeseboard - $9.87

Perhaps there’s a learning curve involved here, but I get better (and less messy) results from my $7 drugstore mascara. I don’t get all the hype, nor do I understand the glowing reviews for this product. Having followed the instructions to the letter, the end result was underwhelming to say the least. My eyelashes barely looked any different as far as length or volume was involved, and I was left with sprinklings of dark fibers all under my eye. I don’t have that hassle with my trusty drugstore mascara, and that one actually makes my lashes look good! So this was not a good purchase for me. I’ll give it a few more tries but chances are I’ll end up returning it. Edit: I’m throwing on an extra star for excellent customer service. I was contacted promptly by the seller who was very helpful and insistent on making my negative experience with the product right. I was offered a free replacement which I will definitely try! If it performs better, I will add those details into my review here as well. Edit 2: I finally had the opportunity to try out the replacement product, and it was completely different from the first one I received. I was able to build up great volume and length, and the fibers actually stuck to the gel this time instead of landing in my eyes!
Just thought I’d share.

I like the socks you got, mine were an odd color yellowish brown plaid. Truly ugly lol and the ear rings aren’t my style ….however their wines are wonderful and I feel the value of this box is excellent!

I was so excited to receive my box! Everything was wonderful except my mascara was completely dried out! I’m contacting VineOh today but I was wondering if anyone else’s mascara was dry too? I could hardly get the wand out of the tube!

I signed up with the MSAWineforMe code and did not receive the free additional wine. When I called Vine Oh they stated they never have a coupon code for more wine, but I did get the $10 additional off my annual subscription.
So, while I am excited to try my first box I was a little disappointed that the free additional bottle was NOT part of the coupon code.

I have been so impressed with this subscription box. The customer service is fantastic and it is refreshing that you talk with an actual person. This will be my 3rd box and I can’t wait.
The earrings look like they might work well with the necklace that was in the Fall PopSugar Limited Edition box. When my year subscription ends, I will definitely renew!

This is their best box. I like the jewelry and beauty thrown in. It’s a nice mix of home and personal products. I have been keeping my eye on this one, because I love wine so much. They did a good job.
