Accio! December 2017 Review
Included in the box is a booklet designed like The Daily Prophet which lists out all of the products found in the box as well as the value for each. December's theme is "Quidditch".
Flying on the Pitch Natural Soy Candle Tin - Retail Value $12.00
Thankfully, I am someone who loves candles because I was very excited to see one in this box. I wasn't sure what this would end up smelling like given the theme, but to me, it smells like soap. This is going to sound strange, but it smells like a soap from my childhood. I had a very nostalgic feeling when smelling this little candle tin. I will be placing this guy in my bathroom!
Exclusive House Mascot Team Logo Sticker - Listed Value $2.00
Another sticker to add to my collection! I have been adding stickers to my laptop case and this is definitely a good one to mix things up a bit. I like the lion because he looks fierce and proud. Yes, I read a lot into this sticker. Very nice.
Exclusive House Pride Quidditch Pennant - Listed Value $10.00
Whoa, this pennant is super sturdy, definitely made a classic felt material typically used for collegiate pennants. The color is perfectly burgundy while the lettering is gold. There is also a place on the side that you could stick a dowel rod through if you wanted to take this to your local Quidditch team games. Super cool!
Exclusive Holyhead Harpies Vintage-Style Tee - Listed Value $25.00
This is the softest t-shirt ever! I love the logo so much and the fact that the Holyhead Harpies are an all-witch team. Girl power! I wish it wasn't such a bright color, but that's just a personal preference from someone who only wears neutrals.
Snitch, Please! Bath Bomb - Retail Value $5.50
I wanted to like this one, but I think that the smell is just too sweet for a bath. For me anyway. The bath water turns slightly yellow with some gold glitter thrown in to make it really snitch-like. It did my skin soft, but I also had to rinse off all the glitter. Cool idea, just not quite my thing.
Verdict: I wasn't sure how Quidditch would be incorporated into this month's theme...brooms and bludgers? But, I was happy with the assortment in this box. My favorite item is the Holyhead Harpies t-shirt and my next favorite would have to be the Gryffindor pennant. Both are unique and really well-made! I also love how most items in these Accio! boxes are exclusive. Overall, pretty good value for the cost, though I think maybe one more item (not a sticker) would have been nice.
