Bobmiki Blackhead Cleanser - Retail Value $18.99
When I saw this item in a spoiler, I thought that it would be similar to Foreo Luna Play, an affordable sonic cleanser, but I was wrong. The button (which I thought was a switch) on the right is there to distribute the cleansing product from the bottle.
I wet my face with warm water, pressed the pump, then used the silicone brush to massage around my nose and chin area, where my pores are clogged regularly. The result was amazing! My cleaned areas felt squeaky clean - without any oily residue. I noticed that there’s less of a break out around my chin after a week of usage as well. I’m a big fan!
Yureka Charcoal Premium Modeling Gel Mask Pack - Retail Value $12.99 on the website but there’s a $9.99 price tag on the product I received.
The price of this face mask is steep, especially when it’s for one-time use! Given the price, I’m glad I received this product to try in Beauteque Beauty Box. After I cleaned my face, I mixed the 2 packets of liquid and powder in the tray using a provided spatula. Then, I spread the mixture on my face and waited for 25 minutes until the mask hardened like rubber, and I peeled it off. The mask gave a cooling sensation while it was on my face and it came off easily without hurting my skin. I can’t say for sure if I notice any visible difference though.
MakeupPal 4-Step Night Time Skincare - Retail Value $4.99
This 4-step packet is so simple and convenient, but I’m not a big fan of every single product in it. The toner is light and refreshing. The serum absorbed almost instantly and left my skin feeling plumped. The emulsion was okay. The night cream, however, left my face feeling uncomfortably sticky. I think it’s a little too pricey for one night worth of skincare, especially when you can get travel-sized skincare that better fits your skin needs for the same price.
LookAtMe Hydrogel Eye Patch - Aloe vera - Retail Value $5.99? (I couldn’t find the actual product on their website so I linked to a similar product instead.)
I love these eye patches! Mainly because they didn’t slip off like some of the other eye masks I’ve used. I put them in the fridge for extra cooling effect! So happy we get 5 of them in this box instead of just 1 (like last month’s pore strip).
Goodal Orchid Hand Cream - Retail Value $6.99
This hand cream is rich with shea butter and baobab seed oil. It moisturized my hands well without leaving them slippery. However, I’m not a big fan of this mature floral scent (it reminds me of the Nivea cream in the big blue tin jar). So I’ll be using it sparingly.
Malian Silicone Makeup Brush - Retail Value $4.99
This silicone blush came in a cute package and has a mint green handle (one of my favorite colors!). The description on the website said to “Use this brush instead of your fingers to apply a variety of products like modeling and wash-off masks, sleeping packs, primer, foundation, and more.” I tried to use it to apply my foundation but it didn’t really work. I will be using it to apply my face mask, but I wish it was as versatile as it claims.
Verdict: The total value of this box is $54.94, which is more than twice what you pay for it, but not as much as their promised value. Not that I mind though because I enjoyed and will likely be using everything in the box. My favorite item from this box is definitely the Bobmiki Blackhead Cleanser, which has become a part of my daily skincare routine. Overall, Beauteque Beauty Box would be a great box if you enjoy trying new Korean beauty products. I am looking forward to next month’s box!
