Cat Claws Club is a bi-monthly subscription box for cats filled with lots of toys, treats, and other surprises. (They just use whatever box will fit the items, so it varies from month to month, but it allows for some unusual item shapes, which can be fun!)
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)
About Cat Claws Club
The Subscription Box: Cat Claws Club
The Cost: $33.90 a box ($24.95 subscription price + $8.95 shipping)
The Products: Lots of cat items, mostly toys, including some exclusive and/or new items.
Good to know: Although PayPal checkout shows as an option for this subscription, you can’t actually pay for the subscription with PayPal. I checked out that way the first time and they contacted me, processed a PayPal refund, and I had to resubscribe with a credit card number.

Cat Claws Club December 2017 Review
This subscription is pretty heavy on the toys and is usually holiday-themed. This is also one of the only cat subscriptions where you get scratch pads regularly. Let’s see what was in the box this month:
There is usually a brochure with more information about the items, but I didn’t receive one this month. There was a card asking you to share photos on social media, though.
M.A.X. Sleigh Cat Scratcher – Retail Value $19.95
You’ll get a lot of scratchers with this subscription, but they are in fun shapes and they are sturdier than the cheap ones I usually order. Plus, my cats love them. Monkey liked licking this one, whereas Madison climbed on top.
Imperial Cat Catnip (1 oz) – Retail Value $3.99
There was also a resealable bag of catnip to use on the scratcher, refillable catnip toys, or however else your cats typically like it! I put this on the scratcher and it was popular with my crew.
Snowflake Stocking Refillable Catnip Toy – Retail Value $3.99
You’ll get a fair number of refillable catnip toys with this subscription. This one came with a packet of catnip (they generally do). Monkey wouldn’t stop licking this. I guess that means he liked it!
Sergeant’s Crazy Claws Christmas Tree Dangler – Estimated Value $5
I spent a long time looking for this online and couldn’t find it. I am basing the value on other, similar toys from the same brand. This was well-loved by my cats. Angus had a lot of fun catching the tree but he also liked the end your finger is supposed to hold, and Sneaky just wanted to bite the finger end as well.
Imperial Cat Holiday Catnip Toy 3-Pack – Retail Value $4.95
Catnip mice are always good choices. These are small plushes that are a great size for your cats to bat around. Angus has been playing with them the most, while Madison has been showing a LOT of interest in the tails. (Whatever works.)
Cat Claws Club Promotional Calendar
This is the type of calendar that businesses can print their names on and hand out to customers. I’m not assigning it a value as I consider it a bonus item, but there are a couple of places I need calendars for next year (office, around the house, etc.) and this will do nicely.
Here are your gratuitous cat photos for the month:
Investigating the scratcher.
Sneaky having her usual reaction to Angus. (She doesn’t like him a whole lot…)
Angus really, really liked the tree dangler toy. Both ends, in fact.
Madison was a big fan of the scratcher as well as the tails on the mouse toys.
Monkey is mostly in this for the catnip.
Sneaky doesn’t want to admit it, but she liked the catnip too. And the wrong end of the tree dangler.
Mr. Kitty is still recovering from his surgery and is not ready for photos yet. He is doing pretty well, all things considered.
Verdict: I calculated a value of $37.88 for the December Cat Claws Club. This value exceeds the cost of the subscription plus shipping, which is great for a cat subscription. My cats liked everything, with the scratcher and the tree dangler being especially popular. If you are afraid that a monthly cat subscription might lead to a little too much stuff for your kitty, this one could be a great choice since it is bimonthly. (This is also a good choice for kitties with allergies – there are occasionally food items, but usually just one and not every month.)
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, Cat Claws Club ships once every other month. Your first box would be February’s box if you signed up now.
