The Game of Thrones Box is a quarterly subscription that aims to bring you the best of Westeros with 9 exclusive collectibles, apparel, accessories, and more. It comes from Culturefly - the same team behind Pusheen Box, The Nick Box, DC Comics World’s Finest: The Collection, and a few more!

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Like the theme, the box was ALL about the different houses in Westeros.

Winter 2017 Noble Houses of Westros Game of Thrones Box Review

This quarter's delivery features items from House Stark, Baratheon, Lannister, Greyjoy, Targaryen, and Tyrell - they've got quite a few covered!

You'll get an information card that details the items in your box.

House Sigil Shirt - Value $15?

Let's start with the two House-neutral items - the first is an allover print t-shirt.

It's a 60/40 cotton/polyester blend, tagless, with details that are about as subtle as you can get with an allover print shirt.

House Sigil Stamp Set - Value $15?

If you have a need to put your stamp of approval for a house of Westeros, then Culturefly has you totally covered this month!

Each sigil stamp is between 1.5 - 2 inches wide - and it comes with an inkpad to get you going.

Jaime Lannister Silicone Oven Mitt - Value $15-20?

We've seen quite a few versions of geeky oven mitts while reviewing subscription boxes - but this one undoubtedly takes the cake.

Is there a redemption story in line for Jaime? Who knows - but at least now you can serve up some baked goods in style!

I'd say that House Lannister is represented in the best possible way! I love it!

Ghost Vinyl Figure - Value $20?

This vinyl figure is LARGE, coming it at around 7.5inches long and 3.5 inches tall - it's one of the bigger vinyl figures that I've received in a box.

Ghost is on the prowl in vinyl form - I'm excited to find out if Ghost has more of a part to play as the story is finishing!

The North Remembers Notepad - Value $10?

Who needs Post-It notes with you have 5-inch long House Stark sticky notes! The design is muted enough for you to use normally and stick around the house - or just remind someone that Winter is here!

House Greyjoy Enamel Pin - Value $15-20?

I can't believe this thing is categorized as a "pin" - it's bigger than any enamel pin that I've ever seen!

It's about 4 inches tall and 2 inches wide - and it's got some weight to it!

It even takes 3 pins to hold it up! I'm hoping that this is the beginning of a sigil pin line because this one is so cool.

House Baratheon Drinking Horn and Stand - Value $10-15?

Robert Baratheon is now immortalized with his house drinking horn - just like in this show:

It also comes with its own stand if you just want to put it on display.

The stand has the house sigil marked on the base.

As you might expect, it's not dishwasher or microwave safe.

House Tyrell Ceramic Planter - Value $15?

House Tyrell's words are 'Growing Strong' - so who better to be represented with a ceramic planter?

The back echoes those house words, as well!

The planter is about 4-inches tall - it seems like a great size for a succulent, which is about the only plant I can keep alive.

Reusable Hand Warmer - Value $5-10?

The final item represents the Targaryens.

This hand warmer has a 5-inch diameter - just crack the disk to start warming. You'll be able to continue to reuse this by heating it back up with boiling water.

Verdict: This was a strong first delivery from the Game of Thrones Box. I really enjoyed the shirt, vinyl figure, oven mitt, and gigantic enamel pin! They have a lot more to explore from the Game of Thrones world, so I'm excited to see where this subscription goes on a quarterly basis.

I wasn’t entirely pleased with this box; I probably won’t use the horn, the direwolf is okay, and I’m not a pin collector. However!!! That shirt is probably one of the most comfortable I have gotten from a culturefly box and I love the print!

But I’m not sure if one shirt I really loved plus some stuff I kind of liked is worth the price of the box.

I was very disappointed as well. Between not liking the item and they seem cheap.

Agree that the shirt is super soft but not a flattering cut. If I keep it, it will become a pj.

Immediately cancelled. Shame! Shame! Shame!

no, it sucked–no way this junk is “valued at $100+”

well, i have a completely different reaction to this box–i am totally disappointed & upset, with a bunch of cheezy-ass dollar-store junk

this was my gift to my favorite nephew for christmas–and i am not happy with ANY of it

i am stunned by your happy-clappy review, frankly…i am a big fan of GoT, so, it’s not that…these items suck, eric…especially for a first box

and, even the way it was shipped was sub-standard, just shrink-wrapped, with a huge white label…no protective outer box, so, of course, the box itself–the only part i liked-was dented in the corner

i’m just livid about this–i have to give it one more shot–it was a gift!…but, i would cancel immediately, ship this junk back, & demand a refund, if i could…

Jesus, lighten up. It’s not Eric’s fault. Complain to the company. Wow just nasty

Kelli

I know right?! Like relax.. Its not Eric’s fault.. And I’m pretty sure she can cancel it if she hates it so much!

Tammy Haley

…and, uh…if you think, “frankly, i’m stunned by your happy clappy review” is “nasty”–you DO need to stay off the ‘net

and, one more thing–eric most certainly IS responsible for HIS review–what is wrong with you?

Tammy Haley

calm down–this is an open forum–if you can’t deal with the truth about a skewed box review, maybe the internet isn’t the place for you, honey

I need this oven mitt in my life.

Jaime Lannister Silicone Oven Mitt – simultaneously creepy and hilarious 🤤

Reply ButtonReply

Ryan

Didn’t some box have a near identical oven mitt a year or two ago, but it was Thanos’ glove?

Reply ButtonReply

Mark

The Thanos glove looked cool but was made of cotton, not heat resistant at all, and lead to many burns. It was the only time I’ve seen loot crate issue a recall and replacement.
