Heart + Honey December 2017 Review
Heart + Honey always has a theme, and this month it's The Pearl!
The other side talks about the history and power of the pearl. I honestly started tearing up reading the last paragraph "Each pearl is a jewel of wisdom and experience - borne of struggle and adversity overcome by its creator". MY WORD. Really makes you reflect, huh? What a lovely theme they've chosen for us.
The next card goes through each of the products and why H+H chose them.
I always enjoy the boxes that H+H sends their jewelry in. Pro Tip: you can totally reuse these for future gifts!
I knew from following them on Instagram that I'd be receiving a vintage pearl jewelry piece that was sourced from an estate.
Vintage 1930s Pearl Earrings
Inside is a really extravagant looking pair of pearl and rhinestone earrings! The card that came with it estimates these to be from the 1930s. What a wonderful item to include!
Each earring has a length of 3 1/4 inches, with two teardrop-shaped pearls among two different colors of rhinestones in square patterns.
Even though this is an awesome piece to honor the pearl, my favorite part has to be the rectangular stones. They have an especially vintage look to me.
I also like that the top of the earrings are placed diagonally for a diamond shape, whereas the longer patterns that dangle off of the ear, hang flat as squares. Although these are really special and beautiful, I'm not sure where a gal like me would ever get to wear them! I know someone who specifically has a love of 1930s clothing, so they may be better suited for her.
Another cute little box. What's in here?
Pink Grade AAA Freshwater Pearl on Sterling Silver Clasp
They also decided to send a new pearl piece as well. This comes as a single pearl in a light pink hue, attached to a sterling silver clasp so it can be hung off of a necklace, bracelet, or another special piece of jewelry.
I like the simplicity of this in contrast to the grandiose earrings.
Here I am wearing both pieces together for scale. I easily hooked the single pearl on to a silver chain that I already had to make a delicate little necklace. The earrings make me feel glamorously outside of my comfort zone.
Seeing this lovely white satin pouch made me think "what could be in here?".
String of Pearls Posterior Beads
I have to say, I simultaneously squealed with delight and sheepishly giggled when I saw what was inside the pouch. Although they have dabbled with delights for the rear with some of their toys in past boxes, this is the first one I can recall being specifically for your derierre to be included since I've been receiving the Queen Bee Box.
Also made from soft, flexible, medical grade silicone, this "string of pearls" is made to "experiment with posterior pleasure" as they so kindly put it on the info card. I delight in this item because I personally would love to see women (and everyone) feel more comfortable discovering things that they may like that have previously been categorized as taboo. Ok. That sounds a little too soap boxy, so let me step down...
The three "pearls" slowly graduate in size from a 3/4 inch diameter to 1 and 1/4 inch and finish with a sturdy loop to grasp when you're ready to remove. Your comfort level determines where you stop on this string, but at full length (including the loop) measures about 6 inches long. From the end of the largest to the opposite end of the smallest pearl, you are looking at 3 and 3/4 inches.
To help you on your journey, they've included two packets of Intimate Earth personal lubrication made specifically for this area. The lubricant is water-based so it cleans off easily and is made with guava bark extract which is a natural antibacterial agent.
S-Hande Waving Rabbit
Welly welly well. Here we are, at the vibrating item of the Queen Bee Box! S-Hande, we meet again but in a different form. I received the S-Hande Soft S in a box way back in July, but this one has different moves!
It comes in a nice black box where it snuggly fits into foam for storage when not in use. It also happens to be a nice way to present this to a friend or loved one!
There are two little cards that have instructions and care listed out on both sides.
Right off the bat, you know that H+H is only going to send quality toys, so this one (like all of the pleasure objects they include) is made of medical grade silicone and happens to be finished in a pearl-white color (see what they did there?) with a plastic chrome-like handle.
As you can see, it has two appendages (one larger and one smaller) to hit two zones at once, if you please. The large arm does a lot of the heavy lifting and houses the larger motor, but the little arm has a small motor of its own to delight you any way you see fit.
Seamlessly built into the handle you'll find a place to plug in the cord to charge your device, plus the three buttons to control your new waving rabbit. It doesn't include a wall adapter, but I'm able to use the same one I use for my smartphone, or you can plug it into your computer's USB port as well.
*Buckle up for the largest combination of vibrate settings I have ever encountered*
The middle button, not only powers it on and off by holding it down for a few seconds, but also allows you to toggle through three steady vibrations in various intensities and SIX other vibrating patterns for the smaller arm. From there, you can use the top arrow button to toggle through three steady vibrations in various intensities for the large arm, or (like the small one) any of the SIX patterned vibrations. You then have the option to ADD (yes, in addition to the two vibration areas you can already use) two different waving movements by pressing the bottom arrow. You can use the waving feature (which makes the larger appendage wave towards and away the smaller one, at a 30-degree angle) either with or without the other two vibration settings, or in any combination. In all honesty, I can't decipher the difference between the two waving movements but can tell by the sound that the motor makes, they aren't the same.
What else? The buttons light up while the Waving Rabbit is powered on, or while it's charging. My word, this device is just really something! I feel tired just talking about all the different ways to use it!
Verdict: Oh, Heart + Honey, you wonderful people. This continues to be one of my favorite subscriptions due to the thought that goes into the items as well as the classy and positive light that is shed on these items that promote sexual health. They always include wonderful items that you can use in your daily life to relax and feel good while incorporating sexual wellness and discovery. I just love how they do it all. I don't consider myself the type of lady to wear pearls, but they really hit a romantic chord with me this month and the included toys were just out of this world. For $69.99, I received four items that are hard to value since they are exclusive, vintage, or otherwise hard to track down on a retail site.
