J.K. Rowling’s Wizarding World Crate November 2017 Review
You can't do a "Secrets of the Wizarding World" without calling out the Marauder's Map! Great box lining!
This month had items across houseware to on-the-go items to wearables - and it stayed close to the Harry Potter series for most of the items.
Each month arrives with an information card that details the items in your box.
Helga Hufflepuff's Cup Enamel Pin - $5-10
For the past few boxes, this subscription has been sending out pins in the 'Horcrux Series' - which is a perfect idea for pins. This month features Helga's Cup!
Marauders Tee - Value $15?
This month's exclusive tee shows off the Whomping Willow tree.
It glows in the dark, too, showing off animal forms amongst the stars. This is definitely a more subtle nod to the series.
12 Grimmauld Place Collapsible Tote - Value $20?
I love these types of collapsible totes - they're great for the car, or in a backpack - and it's cooler when it's a fun design!
This is the tote in collapsed form.
And in tote form - showing off the building!
The outer pouch is usable as a pocket, too - which is useful.
Arian Dumbledore Secret Compartment Picture Frame - Value $15-20?
This is your very own little Room of Requirement!
It's that classic Hogwarts portrait look - Ariana is always keeping her eye on you. The measures 5.6 x 7.5 inches - with a 1.85-inch depth for storage.
If you don't want to be followed by Ariana - you can even remove that picture and insert your own.
Open it up for some hidden storage!
This is pretty sturdy material - it feels like an MDF material.
Blind Pig Coasters - Value $10-15?
You'll get a set of 3.5 x 3.5 inch coasters featuring The Blind Pig speakeasy.
They're two-sided as well! But, these are a thin coaster - no cork or anything, just a thin piece of cardboard - but they seem like they can hold up for a while even with the thin construction.
I AM LORD VOLDEMORT Magnet Set - Value $10?
The final item is a magnet set for a pivotal point in the series! Punch these letters out and never speak the name again!
Verdict: This is one of the better deliveries fora Wizarding World crate! I think part of that is that the smaller value items weren't notebooks or pens - we've had enough of that for a little bit. My favorite item is definitely the tote, it's super-useful and a fun design.
We also just received this one today and it was a November box - so it was another late shipment from Loot Crate. If you're thinking of subscribing to a Loot Crate line, their recent late shipping should be noted if you need a timely shipment!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. This was an older theme – the current theme can be found on the landing page!
