LoveLula Beauty Box November 2017 Review
This month’s box features 3 full-size items. Let’s check it out:
Each box comes with a card detailing the brands and products included plus a 20% off code to use towards purchasing products from the included brands. There is also a card explaining the LoveLula Natural Beauty Club.
Laidbare Working 9 to 5 Anti-Aging Hydration Cream, 1.7 fl. Oz. - Retail Value $10.73 USD (£7.99)
This lightweight facial lotion provides lots of hydration and is perfect for layering with other skincare products. It feels a little tacky at first but soaks in making my skin feel soft and smooth. Like all products that LoveLula carries, this one is super conscious of their ingredients. I’m loving the light rose scent too.
Madara Smart Anti-Fatigue Eye Rescue Cream, 15ml - Retail Value $41.63 USD (£31.00)
Wow, this is quite the value for eye cream. Yay for full-size! This eye cream says it treats many common eye concerns like fine lines, dark circles, and puffiness. I haven’t noticed any major changes in my eye area yet but that takes time. What I do notice now is that my eye area remains hydrated and fresh looking throughout the day thanks to the hydrating properties of this cream. It does well under my makeup too. The small squeeze tube and tip make getting the right amount of product easy.
Inika Organic Lipstick in Naked Kiss, 4.2g - Retail Value $24.17 (£18.00)
What a pretty shade of lipstick! It’s like a shimmery, dusty rose. I immediately liked the packaging for this because it felt good in my hand. Plus, the tube is magnetic so no worry about the top popping off in your purse. The formula is just ok. It feels a little thick and waxy by itself, but the fix for that is a coat of clear gloss on top.
Ren Perfect Canvas, 2ml - Estimated Value $4.48 USD (buy a 30ml tube for $67.15 USD)
I am really intrigued by this product and all of the benefits it offers. First, it is a makeup primer that is silicone free. Somehow it makes my skin feel like a primer with silicone does, smooth and silky, without the clogged pores. Second, it seals in moisture and treats with probiotics and aloe. I notice less of the tight feeling I get throughout the day as my skin dries out when I wear this. I’m liking it enough to want to try a bigger bottle.
The Seaweed Bath Co. Volumizing Argan Duo in Lavender, Sample
This is a nice sized foil packet duo with enough product for one use for my long hair. It has a rich lavender scent and gentle ingredients so it doesn’t leave me with that stripped feeling. I think one more round of conditioner would have been good for my hair but I was able to get the tangles out with some work.
The Verdict: My LoveLula Beauty Box this month was great for me. I’m always looking for products to keep my skin moisturized without causing irritation. I also like the inclusion of the hair and makeup products. I like the fact that I know every product from LoveLula is safe for my skin. This box has a value of $80.91 plus free shipping. Though being outside of the UK makes this box a little more costly, I think you are paying for a curation of products that are rigorously vetted for their effectiveness, sustainability, quality, and policies against animal testing.
The Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, if you sign up today your first box will be the January box.
Value Breakdown: The box cost $23.26 USD, but I estimate that I received $81.01 in value. That means I spent approximately the following on each item:
- Laidbare Working 9 to 5 Anti-Aging Hydration Cream: $3.08
- Madara Smart Anti-Fatigue Eye Rescue Cream: $11.95
- Inika Organic Lipstick in Naked Kiss: $6.94
- Ren Perfect Canvas: $1.29
- The Seaweed Bath Co. Volumizing Argan Duo in Lavender: I didn’t factor this into the value because it is a foil sample.
