Mine Chest November/December 2017 Review
This month's theme is Beyond the PORTAL! Ooooo, mysterious! No, it's not a bad picture, the front of every postcard they send is a super cool hologram! The themes every shipment seem to center around a different "biome" usually.
The info card included is a cryptic postcard with hints as to what everything inside the box is. Fun!
Exclusive Minecraft Tee - Estimated Value $15
Possibly my favorite thing about our Mine Chest subscription is having my son explain to me what the tee shirt depicts. This month it's an Enderman! I have a feeling they are the bad guys, but my son is telling me they're kind of neutral? Then he started explaining more, but I can never follow MineCraft explanations.
Mine Chest Exclusive Sticker - Estimated Value $1
This is The Eye of Ender. I think this month is where we get into some really mythical concepts with MineCraft. Endermen rarely (but sometimes) lose these in defeat, and if you collect enough you can open a portal to the end of the game. My son really likes their stickers because usually, you can build with them. Fun!
Plush Ender Chest - Estimated Value $8
This is another Mine Chest exclusive! It's a block! It's actually a magical chest where you can store things without fear of being taken by other players. Also, my son informs me I photographed this upside down. Haha!
Minecraft Exclusive Pin - Estimated Value $5
It's an Ender Dragon Head! These dragons must be defeated to win the game. Cool! I now understand why all this stuff is called "Ender" - because it's all things you have to do or have at the end of the game!
Ender Dragon Lamp - Estimated Value $20
Mine Chest sometimes includes an item that is available commercially, but this month everything is a Mine Chest exclusive! This lamp is an Ender Dragon, and it's super cool! My son loves it!
The Verdict: This was another awesome package from Mine Chest! I mainly gauge how cool a Mine Chest is by my son's reactions to the swag, and it never disappoints. This month his favorite item was actually the Ender Chest, surprisingly, but he also loved the lamp. He also really likes sharing with his friends. The value of everything this month adds up to about $49, which is really good for a $40 box. This is such a fun subscription for Minecraft fans!
