Rocksbox is a designer jewelry styling and renting service. Members pay a flat rate every month to get unlimited access the Rocksbox collection and the option to buy the pieces they love most at a discounted price.
Upon subscribing, you'll take a "style survey," so Rocksbox can suggest jewelry pieces that fit your style. You can also browse their catalog and add pieces to your wishlist. Each month, Rocksbox will curate sets of three pieces to send your way, including at least one piece from your wishlist. When I first started my subscription, I got really excited to "shop" the site and added a ton to my wishlist. But recently, I've decided to let the stylists do the curating. So everything in this box has been picked by Rocksbox, rather than me. I can't wait to see what they chose!!!
Try on the items in the box, and wear them as long as you'd like. From there, you have two choices. If you love any of the pieces enough to want to keep them, you can put your monthly "Shine Credit" towards your purchase. Or, if you're ready for another style, return your box using the free shipping label and reusable envelope you got with your shipment. Shortly after, you'll get a brand new box of jewelry to enjoy!
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

Rocksbox December 2017 Review
If you like a bit of predictability, you can add things to your wishlist for your stylist to pick from. I left mine blank to see what they'd pick for me—let's see how they did:
The booklet that comes with the order includes a note from my stylist and a list of the items inside. If you noticed in stylist Haley's note, there's a place on your account where you can leave feedback on what you got, in case you want to hone things further.
Everything comes in little velvet pouches. This always helps me keep the pieces in good condition (and from getting lost in my jewelry box).
Ava Rose Camden Necklace in Rose Gold and Lavrakite - Cost to Keep $77.00
I like the color palette of this arrowhead-inspired necklace, though it leans just a bit boho for me. The rose in the rose gold is subtle—especially from afar, it looks pretty straight gold. But that's fine by me since it ends up fitting really well with a lot of outfits. My favorite thing about this look is the length. The chain is 30 inches long with 3 inches of extra links to work with, so it hangs low low low on your torso. It feels really carefree, but sophisticated at the same time. I've been in a real bib-necklaces place recently, so getting this ultra-long statement piece was refreshing!
Sophie Harper Pave Chevron Ear Jackets in Rose Gold - Cost to Keep $36.00
I love ear jackets, but it's been awhile since I've gotten some in a box! I think these dainty, crystal-studded shapes are so cute. They have a modern feel to them, but their twinkly-ness gives them a romantic, party-ready appeal. The only tricky part is threading the back posts behind the triangular studs through the back arm of the triangles (that's what holds the top and bottom parts together) since it's sooooo small. But once you get it, they're pretty sweet!
Aster Fleur Bracelet in Rose Quartz - Cost to Keep $45.00
This bracelet has the most interesting clasp! The best way to describe it is as a little metallic bolo tie—you have to squeeze the button on the tiny center bead and pull the slender chains in or out, depending on whether you're loosening or tightening it. It was a two-person job for me (thank you for your help, Emily!), but maybe you'll have better luck. This bracelet is super comfortable, thanks to the small size of the beads and their smooth, round finish. I love the pale pink color of rose quartz, and if you're a crystal enthusiast, you'll probably appreciate having a stylish way to wear this love-centered stone around all day.
The Verdict: I liked these pieces from Rocksbox! Day to day, I tend to go for smaller, sleeker pieces, and the bracelet and ear jackets were perfect for adding some unobstrusive, easy-to-wear shine to an ordinary top and jeans. And I really did like the finish and stone in the pendant necklace. Haley really knows how to pick 'em!
To Wrap Up:

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $21.00 to rent, but I got $158.00 worth of product to wear. Granted, I do have to send them back eventually. But if I choose to keep anything, the $21.00 I spent on the initial rental goes towards that cost!
