Sticky Kit December 2017 Review
There isn’t an info card per se, but a business card identifying the month with their website on it.
The other side says “thank you” and asks you to tag photos on social media.
Here's a second "thank you"—this is a season of being grateful, after all!
Watercolor Christmas Tree Postcard
This month's non-sticker item is a Christmas-themed postcard. I love that, while it does have a "Merry Christmas" greeting, it's not overly Christmas-y. I have a friend in Canada who is half-Christian and half-Jewish, so she celebrates both Chanukah and Christmas, and I think this postcard would be perfect to send to her. While the watercolor design looks like it's been painted on watercolor paper, the card itself is very smooth.
Animal OOTD Stickers
Oh my gosh, these outfit-wearing animal stickers are so quirky! Of course, this isn't this first time I've seen illustrations of animals wearing clothes, but it's the best time. I mean, canaries? Ducks? A hedgehog? These painterly pets could give anyone a good giggle, the problem is they're almost too precious to me to use! I'll have to stick 'em to file folders or something else I'll be keeping around for a long time so that I don't have to say goodbye to any of these little guys.
Petite Presents Stickers
These little stickers are so simple, yet so sweet. It's obviously gift-giving season, and these presents offer cute ideas for how to package your gifts! Many are detailed with gold-foil accents, and they have a retro vibe to their simplistic designs. Will I use these gift stickers ON my gift packaging this Christmas? Sounds meta, but I might just have to.
Festive Kitties Stickers
Everybody loves a good cat sticker! The kitties on this sheet are totally up to no good, batting at ornaments and prancing toward tinsel. Some of the kitties are designed to be snuggled up next to a bulb, which is such a fun concept! Much like the postcard, I love that this sheet has a festive vibe without being too in-your-face Christmas-y.
Rectangular Winter Motif Stickers
These paper stickers are delightfully wintry! While they are indeed patterned, their dyes are muted enough that you could definitely use these rectangular stickers as gift tags. I plan to use them that way, for sure!
Pack of 50 Various Christmas and Winter Stickers
These Christmas/winter stickers are so wonderfully designed! The ones offering holiday greetings remind me of some patches I've seen, created with retro logos. Like last month's fairgrounds foods, the 50 stickers in this set have their own backings instead of being on one sheet. If you counted 49, it's because I accidentally stacked 2 hat stickers on top of each other in the photos! Mixed in are 5 glittery gold stars. Those and others, such as the deer, could totally be used year-round.
Spiced Cocoa and Cookies Stickers
Finally, some delicious and oh-so-festive hot chocolate stickers. Not only is this sheet filled with amazingly intricate illustrations of holiday bevvies, they actually offer some amazing ideas for how to flavor your cocoa! I spy some cinnamon sticks, cloves, candy canes, and cutout cookies. I think that's my sign to stock up on all the necessary mulling spices for the season!
Verdict: December's Sticky Kit shipment gives you permission to get excited about the holidays, while still managing to keep the Christmas references subtle, which of course is great for those who don't celebrate this holiday, and also because if you don't use up all your Christmas stickers this season, you have to wait a whole year before they become relevant again! This sub costs $14.99 ($12.99 a month + $2 shipping), and I received 5 sheets of stickers, one pack of 50 single stickers, and a postcard. And, every single one of them is artistic, filled with personality, and already cherished by this sticker-lover!
