This month's theme is Spooky Sweets and seems to focus on chocolate. Awesome!

Let's dig in!
Byrd's Toasted Pumpkin Cookies, 8 oz. - Estimated Value $8.50 (buy a 16 oz. bag for $16.95)
These crispy little cookies were a delight. Each cookie is bite-sized, so they're easy to snack on (beware -- I ate nearly half the bag without blinking an eye). Their pumpkin flavor isn't overwhelming, but it's definitely pronounced and blends well with the additional cinnamon, pecan, brown sugar, white chocolate chips, and vanilla ingredients.
Chocolat Moderne Pumpkin Pie Bon Bon - Estimated Value $3.20 (buy a 5 piece assortment for $16.00)
A dark chocolate morsel filled with pumpkin pie caramel, this fancy chocolate was a nice little treat! It was larger than the standard chocolate piece that you'd expect to find in a gift box, and I love that it looks like a mini pumpkin! Its design is indicative of the sweet pumpkin caramel filling inside. The caramel with a little TOO sweet for me, to be honest, but I really enjoyed this candy overall.
Mayana Chocolate Kitchen Sink Bar - Value $8.00
Wow, this candy bar is substantial. It's got it all: peanut butter, pretzel, and crisp rice combine with milk chocolate, fleur de sel caramel, and a 66% dark chocolate coating. The rice crisps create a nice subtle crunch to each bite while the caramel and peanut butter add a bit of creaminess. If we're talking mainstream, processed chocolate bars, I'd compare this to something between a Take 5 and a Snickers. You can definitely taste the high-end ingredients and fresh, quality chocolate in the final product, though!
Ethel M Chocolates Mars Bar, 1.77 oz. - Retail Value $2.99
I'm a huge fan of the marshmallowy nougat, almonds, and chocolate combo of a classic Mars Bar, so I was thrilled to see this treat in this month's box! This version is nice and flat with a fluffy interior. Nuts sprinkled throughout add a little crunch. I love that this chocolate bar is an elevated version of the one that I'm familiar with -- total winner!
Marlo's Soft-Baked Biscotti Chocolate Pumpkin Pie, 1 oz. - Estimated Value $1.20 (buy a 5 oz. bag for $5.99)
Man, this festive treat sure made me excited for fall weather. The chocolate chips add a little extra special sweetness, and the pumpkin pie spices are the perfect compliment to a good cup of coffee (or a PSL if you wanna get really crazy). I also love that these biscotti are individually packaged so you're sure to get a fresh, crumbly piece.
Verdict: As a chocolate enthusiast receiving Sweets GiftBox for the first time, I was impressed with the delicious assortment! The variety of items was nice as well -- especially with a narrow chocolate AND spooky/autumnal-themed window to work with.
The calculated value for this month's box comes in at $23.89, which is just slightly below the box cost of $25.00. Because you're paying for such a varied gourmet sampling, and many of these items would be more costly if purchased individually online or in bulk quantities only, I think that the value is fair. However, I'd love to see an additional item or two in future boxes to make up for the difference!
