AromaBox December 2017 Review

AromaBox booklet cover

This month's theme is "Winter Solstice." Yep, it's that time of year! I appreciate the cold weather and long nights, myself.

The information sheet from Herb Stop is really impressive. There's a lot of knowledge packed in here! Every oil they sent is matched with three different usage tips. That's really helpful! Plus on the reverse side, there is a recipe for "Holiday Cookie Scent" blend! Yum!

I also wanted to point out that their information sheet contains important safety information under each oil. It's definitely great info to have on hand.

Cassia essential oil

Cassia Essential Oil, 5ml - Buy a 15ml bottle for $8.95

I have no idea what cassia is, but this smells a lot like cinnamon! Which is perfect for the season! Additionally, it is good for aiding digestion and reproductive issues.

Clove Bud essential oil

Clove Bud Essential Oil, 5ml - Buy a 10ml bottle for $9.40

Clove is another classic holiday scent, and I just love it! I also knew it had some very cool healing properties, such as being a strong antifungal and good for toothaches. It's apparently also a good pick-me-up!

Wild Orange essential oil

Wild Orange Essential Oil, 5ml - Buy a 15ml bottle for $9.70

I don't know if I've ever smelled a wild orange before, but the scent differs from regular sweet orange in that it is more complex, with more sour notes. This essential oil is useful in aiding digestion and immune function, but it seems that its primary usefulness is in clearing emotional distress and lifting the spirit. How important during the long winter months!

Holiday Cheer Roll-On Essential Oil Blend

Holiday Cheer Roll-On Essential Oil Blend - Retail Value $16.95

I am a big fan of Herb Stop's roll-on blends, and this month's is just wonderful! It is meant to be warming, both physically and emotionally. It's a blend of orange, clove, mandarin, and cassia in jojoba oil.

The Verdict: I am consistently impressed with the Aroma Box by Herb Stop. I am getting such a massive education on natural health and wellness through this subscription! The oils are top quality and purity. The curation is also spot on and always perfectly suited to the month. The value this month is good - about $28 worth of oils for $20. I'm a big fan!

Cassia is also called Chinese Cinnamon.

Cassia is a cheaper variety of cinnamon; it comes from the bark of a different (but related) tree. (Cassia cinnamon is more familiar to US consumers than Ceylon cinnamon, which I have had and which is definitely different.)
