Bluum January 2018 Review
My son, Fox, is 22 months old, very active, and loves discovering new toys! We both have been loving our Bluum boxes! Let's see what we received this month:
Susan Brown's Baby Naturals Foaming Shampoo & Body Wash, 8.5 fl oz. - Retail Value $11.99 (Found here for $8.16)
When I first saw this in the box I thought, "I am not going to like this." We have been using the same body wash for almost a year now, and we recently switched to shampoo and conditioner for my son (his hair is long and needs it). I was SO wrong, this is the best body wash ever! Not only does it smell incredible, but the foam wash added a whole new level of fun to bath time. The soap has a fresh oatmeal scent to it that has a very warm and calming affect. My son thinks the foam is just so silly and he is even starting to use it on his own, so he is having fun and learning how to take a bath! Best product ever!
Spots and Dots First Patterns Playbook - Retail Value $7.28
My son is obsessed with books and animals so he quickly grabbed this to read. I have to say though that I think this is the only product that felt a bit young for him because he quickly got frustrated that there weren't more pages. The book is small and didn't go into much detail about the animals, which is something he is really looking for now. He did enjoy the bright pictures and has been going through it to point out the animals rather than having me read it to him. A fun book all in all and something I will hold onto for our next little one!
Squeasy Snacker, 6 oz. - Retail Value $13.99
I always joke that I am usually covered in applesauce or yogurt from squeeze pouches or go-gurt. This "squeasy" is meant to help with keeping the mess out while still allowing your little one to enjoy snacks on the go and most importantly on their own! I was skeptical because this says it prevents spills but still has the easy flow. I have to say, so far, it seems to be working! We haven't had a huge mess yet and it keeps everything cool so we can safely take our yogurt on the go without getting gross and warm. This is a super fun product that I can safely say I would have never bought on my own!
Tomy Push 'n' Go Plane - Retail Value $8.99
We live near an airport so planes are literally in our backyard. For a little boy, seeing planes fly around all day is like magic so he was instantly amazed by this toy. All you have to do is push down on the little pilot and boom, off the plane goes! We have had so much fun with this little toy, and he has even figured out recently that he can make the plane knock down other toys. Endless fun!
Make My Day Infrusions - Retail Value $7.99
I am constantly working to fight off the juice habit with my son. I try to keep some in our house as a special treat, but I find that if he knows it is there he will ask for it constantly. These fruit infusers are a great way to make water taste sweet and fruity, similar to a juice, but in a much more natural way. Luckily, my son does love fruit so I knew he would really enjoy these. I decided to make this a fun activity where he picked out what fruit he wanted, let him help me fill the infusers, and plop them in his water bottle for the day. He thought it was super silly to see these bright infusers in his bottle, and I loved that he was able to get a sweet treat without giving him juice.
Verdict: This month's Bluum box was so much fun! Fox is really starting to know and understand the world around him, so receiving Bluum box is that much more exciting for both of us now! I thought the product curation was great for his age and was filled with items that I don't think I would have bought for us on my own. This month, I received a total of $50.24 in products, probably my highest quality box yet. I can't wait to see what our next Bluum box will bring as my son, Fox, gets closer and closer to his 2nd birthday!
