This Boxycharm vs GlossyBox vs BeautyFix series compares my subscriptions every month to give you a good idea what you can expect from these popular beauty subscription boxes. (Boxycharm and GlossyBox are both $21 a month, and BeautyFix is $24.95 a month, so they seemed close enough in cost to compare!)

Important to know: With Glossybox and Boxycharm, there are certain items that all subscribers will receive, but the remainder of items in the box will vary. With BeautyFix, all items are the same for all subscribers. (With the exception of perhaps different colors of a beauty item.)

I’ve sampled a lot of highlighters thanks to subscription boxes, and this might be my favorite one yet. It’s a creamy formula, that blends beautifully, and gives a perfect subtle glow. (No sparkle).

Verdict: Boxycharm is the winner for me this month! 2 palettes! Dr. Brandt! IT Cosmetics! Really, it wasn't even close this month!

What was your favorite box for Janaury? And what was your favorite product?

Here are my general suggestions for which box to pick:

Boxycharm: If you are looking for full-size makeup, this is the box to go for. They consistently send out makeup in addition to haircare and skincare products. (You will quickly build up an impressive eyeshadow collection with this subscription box!)

GlossyBox: This is the best box if you're looking for trying out brands that you typically don't see in the US. You'll get a mix of US and EU brands. The one downside is that values of these boxes can vary depending on which variation you get, so make sure you're happy with the main spoiler items that everyone gets if you're thinking about signing up. (Please read the comments on GlossyBox reviews, too.)

BeautyFix: This is my go-to box for sampling a lot of high-end skincare products. They usually round out the boxes with a few makeup and haircare products, too. You'll get a mix of full-size and sample-size products.

I am thinking about trying glossybox from reading this review I have seen here, because of the full-size items that it showed- as it had three out of five items full size. But, I really prefer skin care and love the dermstore skin fix box because it is heavy on skincare, and the Macy’s Beauty Box because it is also heavy on high-end skincare. If you are already wanting to stick with your current makeup and don’t really want to experiment and makeup because you already want to stick with what you are using or have sensitive or acne-prone skin like me, I would recommend to stick with the skincare boxes and then do a lot of research on beauty products such as makeup before I get them, so that I know they have the right ingredients for my skin and that way it keeps me from spending a lot of money on swaps to get what I really want. I will probably drop Allure and maybe Sephora because there’s lots of tacky makeup that comes and the only thing Allure sends lately that Have been high dollar items have been Sunday Riley items and everything I’ve tried from that line breaks me out- and according to a lot of people on makeupalley in the beauty and skincare forums.. lots of people are agreeing with me about Sunday Riley just being hyped up junk that does however seem to have a niche following oh, another box I would love to try but have not due to the price, is the Beauty tube 2.0.

I agree this month’s winner is Boxy Charm! No question the clear winner. I have all 3 of these box subscription. If I had to only pick1 box this month it’s Charming!

The full size Avene in BeautyFix, plus the gift with purchase, made them the winner for me.

I loved boxycharm too! It was by far my favorite and I get all 3 as well. I thought glossybox was a close 2nd and beautyfix although I love them to death , I just wasn’t really into this months as much as boxycharm and glossybox. Beautyfix is great too but it was a 2nd for me unfortunately ☺️
