BuddhiBox has had a subscription box for yoga and meditation for years, but they recently launched BuddhiBox Essential Oils, a monthly aromatherapy/meditation subscription. Every month, subscribers receive various essential oils and crystals that support a specific guided meditation, which is also included.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

BuddhiBox Essential Oils January 2018 Review
Each month's BuddhiBox includes a card with an inspiring mantra on the front and info about the contents of the box on the back. This month's message is perfect for the new year when it's easy to feel inspired and motivated to achieve a greater self.
Oiliving Life Protect Immune Supporter Spray, 1 oz. - Listed Value $12.00, for 2 oz. bottle (Buy a 4 oz. bottle for $18.00)
In the five months that I've reviewed the BuddhiBox Essential Oils box, this is the first month that the featured essential oil has been anything other than a roll-on bottle. I've come to collect a lot of wonderful roll-on oils, but I like that they're switching it up this month. This is my third Oiliving Life spray that I've been lucky enough to own, and while the traditional 4 oz. bottles are great to keep on my dresser for a pillow spray or in my bathroom, the 1 oz. travel size totally makes sense for an immune booster. This spray has a very distinct cinnamon and clove scent, but it's still light and not too overwhelming when sprayed in the air.
Carnelian Stone - Listed Value $8
I was so intrigued by this stone when I spotted it in my box! Aside from its fiery orange glow when held up in the light, it has such a natural look to it, like it could be a stone I might find on a hike. It's also one of the largest stones I've received in a BuddhiBox. According to the included info card, carnelian is known as a stone of motivation and endurance, leadership and courage. As we live out the homestretch of January, a month during which many folks strive to incorporate new positive habits or cleanse from harmful tendencies, the little energy boost from this stone is very welcome!
Reiki Herbal Votive Candle - Positive Energy — Listed Value $6 (Buy a glass votive holder for $5.75)
Speaking of intriguing, the vibrant color of this votive candle is so insanely eye-catching! During the summer, I fill my fireplace with eclectic candles that have all sorts of meanings to me, and on quiet evenings spent either with close friends or just myself and my thoughts, I light the candles and welcome their calming energy into my home. I'm going to save this beautiful candle for those evenings. Its scent is a blend of sandalwood, dragon's blood (never heard of this!), frankincense, and saffron essential oils, and the included info slip offers directions for how to charge your candle with positive energy. I love this! I'm going to keep these directions around so I can charge all the candles in my fireplace!
The Dreaming Yogi Meditation - Listed Value $10
This month's meditation video is a little over 8 minutes long, which I found to be the perfect length to start a Sunday morning with intention, without feeling like I'm neglecting my to-dos. This is the second month that the host, Meli of The Dreaming Yogi, has appeared on camera rather than using voice-over. Like I said last month, I much prefer this approach, as it brings her words to life and gives me something to focus on if I feel I'd rather keep my eyes open during the meditation. This month's meditation started with some small, seated stretches and relaxations, which really helped me 'arrive' and be present. It's a good one to do before bed, which she mentions in the video.
White Sage Smudge Stick — Listed Value $6
Ah, a good classic sage smudge stick! While my personal spiritual practice doesn't involve smudging, I have often burned sage on the first day of living in a new place, on occasions such as solstices, and anytime I feel I need an energy cleanse. I do believe that the intention you put behind your actions is nearly just as important as the action itself, and smudging is a ritual that I believe has a history of reverence and goodness behind it. So, I'm always happy to find sage in a BuddhiBox!
Verdict: What a great start to a new year of BuddhiBox Essential Oils. There is a distinct feeling of newness to this box, from the different kind of essential oil to the unique type of stone, and the inspiring vibe of the candle and sage. This box costs $15.95 box (US shipping included), and its contents add up to $42, which was calculating using some estimated values.
