December 2017 "The Great Journey" Halo Legendary Crate Review
The December 2017 delivery was themed "The Great Journey".
The information sheet is a 17x11, rolled up poster on one side.
And you can find the item details on the back. You'll also find a code for your monthly Req Pack.
Battle Rifle Pin - Value $5
Each box includes an exclusive pin from the game - this month comes with a rifle. Some subscribers received a limited edition gold variant as well.
UNSC Data Drop - Value ?
Each month also always arrives with this UNSC data drop top secret folder.
These are just little extras that add a little Halo touch to the month's theme.
Mongoose Shirt - Value $15?
This month's exclusive shirt features the red team going for the capture the flag win on the mongoose! Love the retro style of this.
Halo Icons - Master Chief - Value $25?
This month's Halo Icon figure features the one and only, Master Chief.
I like the design of the bubble shield coming down as he rushes in - this is one of my more favorite sculpts.
These stand about 5 inches tall, and Loot Crate has done a great job with the paint and sculpt details.
Each box also talks a bit about the figure and how they drew it from the game.
UNSC Collapsible Duffel Bag - Value $15-20?
I love these collapsible bags - I tend to keep them in my car, just in case, and they've definitely come in handy.
While it's on the basic side of a duffel bag - it will work in a pinch and adds some UNSC flair.
Halo 3 Cookie Cutters - Value $5-10?
The final item is a set of cookie cutters. Since this box was originally intended to arrive around the holiday season, the cookie cutters would have made more sense if it was on time.
You'll get 4 Halo designs.
Even if it didn't arrive for holiday - there's always time to make some Halo cookies for a gaming session.
Verdict: I'm into collecting this figure series, so it's my big draw to the box. That, combined with a shirt that I like and a usable duffel bag makes this a pretty good box for me. Again, shipping mishaps pushed this one back a bit - that's been an ongoing issue with Loot Crate's lines and has definitely dulled excitement and trust with every new delay. I'm hoping they can figure these issues out sooner than later.
To Wrap Up:
Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, the current theme can be found on their landing page - sing up before February 15th to get the February box.
