Ivory Clasp Handbag Subscription for December 2017

This was the first handbag I selected for myself, rather than letting Ivory Clasp pick for me. Let's see if it's as good in real life as it is in the photo:

As folks who read my reviews know, if I'm not wearing wild, patterned leggings and athleisure looks, you'll most likely find me in something black, white, gray, or denim. I love a more minimalist, neutral palette that can mix and match with the occasional statement piece. This neutral purse is perfect for that reason—I love the buttery tan and smooth black color scheme, the modern angular shapes on the top flap, and the medium size. It's not big enough to carry a laptop or anything, but my giant phone fits inside just fine, as does a bigger wallet, a paperback, and a small makeup bag.

The textures are nice, too. The bag and its strap are faux leather, but there are a few links of gunmetal chain on either side of the strap to add visual interest. I will say the strap is pretty long, even when you put it at a smaller setting, but that suits me fine. (I prefer crossbody bags that I can just throw on and go!)

The Verdict: I'm so happy with this purse! Aesthetically, it's a great match for me, and functionally, it's great to tote my wallet, keys, and phone on a night out. Smaller purses I own tend to be just a bit too small for all of the obviously important, couldn't-possibly-leave-it-behind junk that always ends up coming along/accruing on my adventures, but this one also isn't so big that it'll inevitably become a bucket of lipglosses, tampons, and spare change that's impossible to shuffle through. It was really nice to pick the bag I'll get, though it was hard to pick between a couple I was really eyeing. Hopefully, Ivory Clasp takes my pick as data about what'll work best for me in subsequent months, too, so that I get to pick from more fun styles like this one in the future!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You can definitely still sign up, but what bag you get depends on what you enter into your style profile and what's available. There's no guarantee that you'll get to pick this same look, but you might get something else that's just your style!

Value Breakdown: Ivory Clasp costs $45.00 per month, but I received a bag that retails for $68.00! That means that this box saved me about 34% on the bag I chose.

I’m really disappointed in Ivory Clasp. I was so excited that I got in on the $29 deal. I subscribed on December 8 and was sent information that my handbag shipped on the 15th. Today is the 4th and I still don’t have my bag! I have contacted customer Service and was told the unfortunately once the handbag left the warehouse it was the USPS problem.

I contacted Ivory Clasp after my original post on the 4th. I received an email this morning stating that they would ship out a new bag by the end of next week. I’m not happy about this. My December Bag will be shipping around the same time as my January bag. Come on Ivory Clasp. – show me that you can do better than this!

I just cancelled my subscription. Ive been subscribing monthly for the past 7 months and most of my bags are from the same 2 brands, A.V.I. Or With212. Also, I received a bag in September that was damaged and I emailed them 5 times, 5 TIMES, and they never once responded to me. Absolutely horrible costumer service!

Love this bag…wish I had signed up when there was the $29 deal…anyhoo, very nice. I’ll keep an eye out on this sub!

Was anyone else disappointed by the quality of the Ivory Clasp bags? I knew not to expect real leather, but my bag felt like something from Wet Seal–cheap material and it didn’t close properly. I felt I could get a better value by shopping the TJ Maxx bag section. Maybe just me!

I just got my first one (signed up for the $29 for life deal) and sent it back. It had marks and scratches on it, so they provided a return label. I was extremely pleased with customer service, but the bag reminded me somewhat of what I used to see at knock-off purse parties (remember those??!! Lol). I will try one or two more to see how the quality is and am hoping it beats what I could pick up at TJMaxx or an outlet store.

Thank you ALL so much for sharing your experiences. I’ve had a decent go of it with Ivory Clasp—I was pretty much only bummed out when I’d get a style of bag that I didn’t like, and the ability to pick my bag helps that a lot. The quality usually meets the cost of the subscription for me, but I can see where you’re coming from. I’m usually either happy with the quality or just okay with it—I’m not often like “WOW, how did I ever score THIS?!”

Since everyone can end up with a different bag, I think it’s really important (and awesome) to hear multiple perspectives. So thanks again, everyone, for your detailed feedback 🙂

Yes. I subscribed about a year ago. I filled out the survey and said I did not want any vegan boho bucket bags. What did I get? A vegan boho bucket bag. It was of a cheap quality and had ink marks in it. That was my last bag.

Same. I got the Galentines deal last year and got my last purse out of the 4 about a month ago. I did get to pick it out of selection they offered me this time. The first bag i got was a total, ugly fail. Summer and fall were ok enough tho. I wont be signing back up because of the quality (or the lack there of) and the no name brands. No i dont expect a Coach from this company, but i rather save my $ And buy a real leather and/or a name brand that is quality. To each his own.

Hola neon velvet liquid lipstick in df

I kinda really needed eyelinet so that’s a win for me and I love skin care. Contour pallette and Lilah is lipstick are swappable!

Does Ivory Clasp usually take a full month to ship bags? I ordered on 12/9 and it shipped today. Seems really slow.

I picked the same bag and I think it’s beautiful although a little big for my taste/style.

I have this one!!! I love it! I decided to downsize from my massive tote and this is deep and wide enough to let me hold on to everything I need. I use it for work and going out with friends after!
