Look Incredible in a UK beauty box subscription that sends you 5 full-sized beauty products each month.

FYI - although they sound very similar, this is a completely different subscription than the UK beauty box Look Fantastic.

My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

The box has an attached flip lid, with a ribbon and heart on the top of the lid - very fancy!

There three different tiers of the beauty box: Standard, £25, Deluxe, £35 and My Secret Box, £65 (The Deluxe box is monthly, the other two options are bimonthly.)

This review is of the Deluxe box.

The Subscription Box: Look Incredible Deluxe Beauty Box

The Cost: £35 (There are other subscription options, too.Standard, £25, My Secret Box, £65. The Deluxe box is monthly, the other two options are bimonthly.)

The Products: 4-5 full-size items each box. The more expensive boxes will feature luxury brands.

Ships to: Worldwide! Shipping is free to the UK, £6.99 to Europe, and  £7.99 to the US and the rest of the world.

The box comes with an info card detailing each item included:

Now, on to the items!

The Balm PickUp Liner in Fine All Over - Retail Value $17.50

As you can see in the picture, the lip liner had a white film on it. (This box was held up in customs for a while, and we've had freezing cold weather, so I'm assuming that's what caused it.)

I'm going to reach out to theBalm to make sure this is safe to use. For now, I swatched in on my arm but didn't try it on my lips.

The formula is a highly-pigmented orange-red that stays put with a matte finish. This is a pretty bold lip color for me (and I prefer cool-tone reds), so to be honest, I'm not too bummed about not using it. But I still want to make sure the formula is OK!

(Swatched in lower photo.)

Gucci Eye Magnetic Color Shadow Duo in Amaretto - Retail Value $49

This is my first and only Gucci item, and I am impressed! It comes with a little velvet sleeve!

And OMG how fancy is the packaging:

The colors are easy to blend, and I was very impressed with the pigment with just one brush stroke. The peachy color is super shimmery, and the brown has more of a matte finish, with a subtle sparkle. Here are both shades swatched beneath the lip liner:

Do I think the eyeshadows are worth double or triple the cost of other brands? Probably not, but I really enjoyed being able to try Gucci makeup, and I will use both of these shades until they are gone!

Vichy Slow Age - Retail Value Approx $44

(I believe this is only available for sale in the UK currently so that approximate value is based on the currency exchange when this review was written.)

This is a creamy lotion designed to help fight signs of aging and protect your skin from sun exposure. (It has SPF 25.) I found the formula to be gentle on my skin, and it absorbed quickly, too. My only complaint is the scent - it's light and doesn't linger for too long, but I prefer my skincare to be fragrance-free.

Benefit Air Patrol - Retail Value $29

I'm so used to the super tiny samples Benefit we see in most subscription boxes, so getting this full-size version was kind of amazing!

The applicator tip is squishy! It makes application so easy - no finger needed! It has the added bonus of SPF 20, too, and I found that it was moisturizing on my eyelids, and helped keep eyeshadow in place. I'm a fan!

Flora-py Anti-Aging Mask - Retail Value $8

This item wasn't on the card, and on their Instagram account, Look Incredible mentioned this is a bonus item in all Deluxe boxes - fine by me!

The formula is designed to provide intense hydration and reduce the appearance of fine lines. I've tried masks from this brand before and they are great. My favorite part is that they are ingredient conscious - and no added/synthetic fragrance!

Verdict: This box has a value of about $147.50 and with shipping, it cost me about $59.58. That's more than double the cost, so I'm pretty happy with that value considering this is a box from overseas. And it's fun to get boxes that sample different products than some US-based subscription boxes. (More Gucci products, please!)

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, as of today, 1/20, your first box will be the January box.

Coupon – No coupons at this time.

Value Breakdown: At $59.58 for this box, here’s what you are paying approximately per item:

  • Lip Liner: $7.07
  • Gucci Eyeshadow: $19.79
  • Vichy: $17.77
  • Benefit Primer: $11.71
  • Florapy Mask: $3.23

I subbed to this box last year and got some beautiful full-sized makeup from brands like Burberry & Dior. I recently re-subscribed to their deluxe box, and may need to take another look at that My Secret beauty box. I think this one is a much better makeup box alternative to Cohorted beauty box.

The Secret box is bomb. I got the Becca Apres Ski eyeshadow palette in there, along with several other high end full size items. It IS pricey though – with shipping it’s around $100 in the US, and the pound/dollar conversion is not going in our favor right now. Today, every pound is $1.39. Secret box is every other month though, and I do love it. Oh well, I work a 2nd job just to have splurge money 🙂

What an original name!
Aside from this, a pretty standard box.

I have a green duo from Gucci and I have to say that Gucci does an amazing job with colors that other brands typically fail at (greens, purples, blues). While I wouldn’t splurge on a neutral duo, the colored duos are totally worth it.

This box looks super neat! But…………..paying almost 60 dollars!? I’m not sure if I would splurge on this box…

Well, I am loving that eyeshadow!! Also Clarins eyeshadows come in a velvet pouch. At least the ones my mom always buys…. I don’t really consider them like high high end though so maybe they should stop😭

This box is very nice. The literal box as well as the contents. I think the value isn’t bad but it’s still a little pricey for me. I would be interested in seeing the bi-monthly boxes reviewed. Obviously, I am most interested in the less expensive one. But I am so fascinated by the My Secret Box.

And I hate to say it but I think those little velvet bags for cosmetics are the Crown Royal bags of the beauty world. 😛 They are hard to let go of sometimes.

Ha! My husband NEVER lets go of a Crown Royal bag. LOL. But at least they are useful for holding stuff larger than a makeup compact.

How do you subscribe to the My secret box? I only see the first two options.

What a nice assortment of items! The Benefit primer is intriguing and they have some of the coolest packaging. Chanel cosmetics also come in little velvet pouches. I wonder if it’s a high-end thing. Like, welcome to the club of velvet-wrapped beauty. I would swear I’ve had velvet pouches show up with other high end cosmetics, but I might be crossing that memory with jewelry. Anywho, this is a box that seems to be worth the price and the wait.

Usually, all high-end Make-up come in velvet pouches. When I worked for Yves Saint Laurent, all of our eyeshadows came in velvet pouches as well as the limited edition items too. Guerlain also has beautiful packages with velvet pouches for their Eyeliner too. They’re strikingly beautiful. I have so many lying around the house. When Bloomingdales opened up in San Francisco I was able to take all the product home from our Stanford store. I miss those days.

I’ve had some Dior and Givenchy makeup that has also come in velvet pouches. 😍

right, right…some have beautiful colored satin lining inside too.

I had no idea this fancy makeup velvet pouch world existed! 🙂

I have a huge cosmetic bag full of velvet cases from Chanel. lol They come on the eye shadows I buy and I think anything else in a compact. My foundation and powder also came with them all the brushes have them too.
