December 2017 Lootaku Review

The December Lootaku box was themed "One Piece: Part 2" - so it's more collectible from One Piece! The original One Piece box was in May of 2-17 - you can check that one out in our review.

Each month includes a detailed information card with information on each item - including item values based on Amazon at the time of curation.

Banpresto One Piece Lon Zoukei Figure Luffy Gum Gum Pistol 35cm - Value $29 on Amazon

I have to admit that I don't follow One Piece - but this figure was just so cool that I've been geeking out over it since unboxing it.

It arrives sectioned off to protect its pieces.

Pop it all together and you have this glorious little statue that's almost 15 inches tall - such a cool sculpt!

One Piece Den Den Mushi Figure - Value $20 on the card

I couldn't find these online, so I'm pulling the value straight from the card.

Each snail is about 5 inches tall and really built well - possibly with resin?

You'll get either Trafalgar Law or Doflamingo's Den Den Mushi figure.

One Piece Flag Diamond Ship Boa Hancock - Value $42 on Amazon

This was actually noted as a random upgrade - it's the first upgrade I've received in a Lootaku!

Like all Branpresto figures, it arrives separated and protected in plastic.

The statue is about 9 inches tall with that immaculate paint job that I've now come to expect with every Banpresto figure.

Mini Blocks One Piece Pirate Ship - Value $5 on eBay ($10 on the card)

The final item in the box is a little brick project to build one of 4 ships from One Piece.

You'll get Going Merry, Thousand Sunny, Trafalgar Law's submarine, or the Kuja Pirates' ship.

It comes with everything you need, including easy-to-follow instructions.

Verdict: Lootaku seems to focus the majority of its boxes on Anime - even as someone who is a statue and figure collector and not really into any anime titles, I am always excited to pop these open and build the statues! My love for Banpresto figures has really grown from this subscription, too! Overall, it's a great subscription for collectors, especially anime fans!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. You'll find the current theme on the landing page.

Wow the review on these boxes makes me so tempted to get them! They all look so good even though I would have no place to store them all. Too bad the shipping is so expensive 🙁
