I am so grateful I canceled! I love the comment section here…it is too easy to convince myself whatever I receive is “worth it”. It Was (with the exception of a few items) a solid box-but for such a short time!
Thank you all on here for your unsugarcoated comments!!

L got my Luxor mystery box today! This was the $200 mystery box. I am so pleased! Since I don;t subscribe, they are all new to me. I’d like to add that I ordered and received the October mystery box and was very happy with that as well!
This is what I got:
Mary Jurek vase
tea towels
dartington clock
halcyon days bangle
la soula ring and bracelet
wine tote bag
Passport to beauty set
plush pumpkin.

The only repeat was the la soula ring and bracelet which I got in the last mystery box. So I didn;t add up the value yet, but I am sure it is there.

Thanks for posting your comments ladies….I was considering it, but had no idea Luxor turned into such a shady company. I got burned by Little Lace Box & this seems like it’s where Luxor is heading.

Careful, this may be viewed as promoting and it will be your fault when buyers don’t love their boxes. 😝

No way. They are clearly going out of business and given the horrid business practices reported by customers, they deserve to. Next time try a little accountability and good customer service.

I believe this might be the last inventory clean out before they close up shop.

The last 3 boxes I’ve gotten have been so pathetic and they weren’t the boxes with the truly shady travel vouchers.

Time to let go and buy my own luxury products I want.

I strongly advise against buying any of these boxes. You are throwing good money after bad with Luxur’s history for the past 6 months or so.

JMO,
Mandy

Oh my goodness the price point for this box is absurd. After the travel certificate debacle there is NO way I’d send any more of my hard-earned money to Luxor. PopSugar LEs are a MUCH better value and I’ve found their CS consistently good.

I wonder if Luxor is assigning the travel certificate a value of $300.00 and adding it to every box. Please be forewarned that the certificate is a total waste of paper. Sadly a few people who have tried to redeem them will likely be out the $89.00 “processing” fee or whatever they are calling it because the hotels they are offering are horrible (think bed bugs, horrible locations, 2* hotels — the stuff nightmarish vacations are made of).

No thanks Luxor. Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me. Not this time. Bye bye.

Whoa, that’s quite pricey!

Thanks for posting your reviews, ladies! I was on their website ready to purchase one, but came here first.

Just so everyone is aware, the retail value of their January box was $466.99. The regular box costs a total of $139. I guess I’m trying to figure out how a “Mystery Box” that costs $200 for $600 retail of items is even a good deal? You could purchase two regular boxes for $278 total and end up with $933.98 worth of retail items.

I just stick with the regular box now. It is usually a better deal. I never need a mystery box because I have all the items I want from the regular box.

Claire

I think Luxor Box is trying to reposition itself so it’s coming out so many varieties (paper stationary, cosmetics, skincare, and some tech items). Too bad their price point is high so not much room for them to trial and error.
It’s my silly hope when these Box companies are trying out new types, they could value the customers instead of the profits and offer much discounted prices for those trial items. Not all people want to pay close to half price for something they don’t want or they didn’t expect from the Box companies.
I am ready to say goodbye to Luxor Box and Robb Vices.

I would never buy luxor after the stories about their customer service, and how they’ve teamed up with a travel company that scams people out of their money. But Wow the fact that they’re only guaranteeing one brand name item spells disaster and not even showing spoilers. You could pay $200 for a rose et marius liquid soap. Expect a box full of elmer’s glue “wrinkle remover.”

Luxor fought me tooth & nail over a defective purse and insisted that I take my issue up with the manufacturer in France. Total BS. Luckily PayPal was able to step in and issue a partial refund after Luxor wanted the entire box back in order to issue a refund. It was months before the issue was resolved.
They don’t care about their customers at all.

Its strange to me that Luxor is usually so responsive to user feedback but on this one thing – it’s been an almost universal ask they do lower price point mystery boxes. 205$ – that’s more than an annual FFF, or 2 PSMH LEs – and it’s for a one time mystery box. My actual all time best mystery box came from them, but at lower price point for sure!

Right on! That really puts it in perspective!

I wonder if there are travel vouchers in these boxes!! :/ Grrr….

Reply ButtonReply

Anna

The first 50 who buy actually get a Rose et Marius or other true luxury branded item. Probably a bookmark or magnet. Probably a travel voucher is the bulk of the R.V. makeup. Proceed with Caution!

Luxor has completely lost my trust and burned any goodwill which had built up as an annual member who used to buy every LE and Mystery boxes. Luxor does not act in good faith or attempt to make things right when issues come up. Sadly it’s time to say goodbye.
