January 2018 Sith Smuggler's Bounty Review
Each bi-monthly delivery of Smuggler's Bounty has a Star Wars related theme. Past themes include Jabba's Palace and Bounty Hunters - this month's theme was all about the Sith!
Sith Pin - Value $5?
The first item is a pin featuring the ultimate Sith leader - Darth Vadar!
Kylo Ren Shirt - Value $15?
This month's exclusive shirt Funko-izes Kylo's Sith-to-Sith moment from The Force Awakens.
Count Dooku POP - Value $27 on POP Price Guide
First - I can't believe there was never a Count Dooku POP before! Second - while this is a basic POP character, I think the sculpt is pretty cool.
I love the cape flow and the great look at his unique lightsaber hilt.
There haven't been too many POPs from the prequels - but I know that I NEED to get Grievous.
Darth Maul Mystery Mini - Value $10-15?
Everyone gets a Darth Maul mystery mini - again, one of the few available from the prequels.
Darth Maul could have been so much cooler! Can we get a POP of Darth Maul with mechanical spider legs soon?
Darth Vadar POP Travel Tumbler - Value $10-15?
Finally, like in a recent Legion of Collectors shipment, you'll get a travel cup.
It features the POP'd version of Darth Vadar. It’s 16 ounces and is hand wash only and not microwave safe.
Verdict: It was fun to see some Sith from the prequels get represented - no matter what you thought of the films. Overall, this is pretty much what you can expect from Smuggler's Bounty - the highlights are always the vinyl figures, and the shirt and other goodies are almost bonus items and really push the value up over the cost.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No – you can always find the current theme displayed on their homepage. They are currently taking March subscriptions - that box is themed "Endor"!
