Sticky Kit January 2018 Review
Printed Mini-Envelope
Tucked into the envelope this month, along with a little Thank You card, is a petite green envelope with adorable patterns all over it. This would be perfect to pop a little note in when giving someone flowers or another small gift. Or, you could cut a few stickers off of a sheet and sneak 'em in here for a fun surprise!
Character Date Stickers
These round, paper stickers feature various characters portrayed in yellow, burgundy, pink, green, and blue watercolor painting. They feature numbers from 1-31, meant to represent the days of one month in this new Year of the Dog! If you use a paper planner, you could use these guys to mark someone special's birthday, or you could create your own one-month calendar to keep on your wall or desk by drawing lines on a sheet of blank paper and using these numbered stickers to mark the days. I love how, to round out the sheet of stickers, since of course there's no "32nd of the month," they toss in a plump, little mustachio'd fella!
Textured Food and Friends Stickers
These textured paper stickers are designed with the prettiest pastel colors. They have an adorable mix of designs featured, from bunnies, mountains, and butterflies to eggplants, pastries, and almonds. Gotta love the randomness!
Playful Puppy Stickers
Oh, I just can't get over the cuteness on this sticker sheet! These paper stickers feature my absolute favorite kind of pup: Shiba Inus! Oh, they're just like fuzzy little foxes! They also have a few Rottweiler puppies mixed in, which are another favorite breed. Subtle metallic gold touches accent some, but not all, of these stickers. I can't wait to put them on some mail to my best friend, who is going to lose her mind over these adorable pooches just like I am!
Gilded Cat, Flower, and Teatime Stickers
These two small sheets of plastic stickers might not actually be meant to go together, but they have a really similar vibe going on with the illustration style, theme, and metallic gold touches. The top set shows all sorts of little kitties hangin' out in flower-bedecked baskets or wreaths. There are also a few single flowers scattered throughout. The bottom sheet stars two square-shaped stickers, which would look really cute on the front of a small notebook, as well as a few petite ones featuring ramen, a fan, and a couple other cute Japanese motifs.
Pack of 40 Cherry Blossom Stickers
Sticky Kit always tosses in a pack of loose stickers with their own individual paper backings. This month, they're crepe-y cherry blossoms colored in red, pink, and metallic gold. These are such a welcome, happy treat in the thick of winter! I'm thinking I'll actually use these stickers to decorate the corners of my TV stand—it's just a simple, black piece of furniture that doesn't have enough oomph, so a few little flowers here and there will make it much more 'me.'
Round Flower, Gift, and Text Stickers
Here's another sheet of round, paper stickers, similar to the date ones above. But, these ones don't have numbers on them—just an adorable mix of flowers, polka dots, bows, mountains, and some Japanese text that I don't understand. Does anyone know what they say? I think these would also make great stickers to mark a special date in a planner or calendar, but they'd also be good for sealing an envelope with a little extra love.
Verdict: I love the bright, warm colors in January's Sticky Kit sampling! My first thought for all stickers is to put them on mail because I do send a lot of snail mail to my friends, but the different shapes and designs of this variety got me thinking about awesome, untraditional uses and placements. This sub costs $14.99 ($12.99 a month + $2 shipping), and I received 5 sheets of stickers (I'm counting the 2 small ones as 1), one pack of 40 single stickers, and a petite envelope. I love the theme of animals and flowers in this month's array, as those are two of my most cherished things in this world!
