In each of these oh-so-cute boxes, you will receive an equally adorable and unique pin. This month's exclusive pin is "Llama in Pyjamas". Isn't he the cutest?! Did you notice that the print on his pajamas is actually llamas? I mean, could that BE any cuter? I don't think it could!

Totoro Dream Catcher Acrylic Charm Keychain - Retail Value $9.92 USD

Alright, so I am not into anime at all so I didn't even know what character this was depicting...I thought it was just a cute bunny. Oops! Either way, it's a pretty cute little keychain to add some fun to a very mundane object. I will say that cultural appropriation is something to consider with this as it is a dreamcatcher, so just wanted to mention that issue I have. Also, the price is a bit steep for a keychain.

Light Pink Tissue Paper Sheet

To put things nicely...this might be the weirdest thing I have received in a subscription box so far. I mean, there isn't anything wrapped up in this tissue paper, it's just a piece of tissue paper. The same paper used inside the box. This was pretty disappointing.

Verdict: This is my second time with Super Cute Box and I have to say this one was not as good as last month's box. There were fewer items in this box and honestly, I don't even think I can count that piece of tissue paper. That being said, the calendar is really nice and that llama pin is too cute! I hope next month's box is better.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the February box.

Value Breakdown: This box cost me $26.92 USD (£16 + £3 shipping), which means each of the 4 items in the box has an average cost of $6.73.

I appreciate the callout of cultural appropriation….or mis-appropriation in this instance, for the dream catcher item. I have both Native American Cherokee and Hawaiian in my ancestry. While I’m personally not overly sensitive to items like this, it is cringe-worthy to see the lack of knowledge and respect when native culture is displayed in this type manner. I feel the same way about grass skirts depicting Hawaiian hula costumes. Oh well.

Can you please explain why the keychain being a dreamcatcher is a big deal to you?

I don’t know that it’s because it is a keychain, it’s the manner in which the dreamcatcher is presented.

Ok, so I read your article, but then I also read about Totoro. And I don’t see the issue. I think that this design is actually pretty clever, given the storyline. There is no way that you can compare the keychain/dreamcatcher to a woman trotting down a runway in a headdress.

That was a really interesting article, thank you for sharing Valerie!

The llama pin is super cute, but for $27, this box is a bust. The keychain should have been in the tissue paper, but I got a good laugh at the idea of just a single piece of tissue being an item lol last months box was also not good.

Fairly certain the Totoro keychain is what was supposed to be in the tissue paper, just based on the pictures. Lol.

I agree…at least I hope so! If not, seriously – – WTF! :/

Even assuming something fell out of that tissue paper, that is an outrageous price for this box.
