December 2017 Collector's Case Review - Case #20
It looks like they've got rid of themes and are just going with box numbering - this is box #20.
It comes with an information card that details the items in your box and some of the possible bonus and variations you could have received.
And you'll get previews of upcoming themes on the back.
Star Wars Rey Fleece Throw - Value $36 on Amazon
This month didn't include a t-shirt - instead, you got a super plush fleece blanket!
It's pretty big, too! 40x50 inches to be exact! You'd get either Rey or Kylo on your blanket.
It is just SUPER soft - I love it.
BB-8 POP - Value $10-11 on Amazon
This month includes a Funko POP from The Last Jedi - I got BB-8.
This one is new to my collection. I like that this version has little pieces of BB-8's functionality showing.
There are a lot of POPs from The Last Jedi - and I'm assuming that this is only the beginning.
Boba Fett Wacky Wobbler (2017 Galactic Convention Exclusive) - Value $30-40?
One thing that The Collector's Case does really well is getting exclusives in every box.
This Boba Fett bobblehead is an exclusive from the 2017 Galactic Convention - and everyone got this in their box! Wacky Wobblers are about 7 inches tall with a POP-style look to their sculpts.
Doctor Who Titan Vinyl Figure - Value $9-10 on AmazonEveryone would also get a Doctor Who Titan vinyl blind box figure.
There are a bunch to collect if you're a crazy collector like myself.
I got the 1st Doctor who isn't a rare pull. Titan vinyl figures are 3 inches tall with the same body and head styles across all franchises.
Michael Dorn Autograph - Value ??
If you order the "Sure Thing" case then you're guaranteed to get this autograph. If you stick to the normal case like myself, you'll have a chance to grab a monthly autograph- this month, I got one!
It comes with two sleeves of protection to keep everything pristine.
And, of course, a COA to make it legit.
Frozen Figurines - Value $6-7 a piece on Amazon
You'd get two little stocking stuffers featuring Frozen.
Each bag contains one figure.
We got two of the same figure in our blind bags - which, of course, is a risk for any blind box figures.
Each figure is 3 inches tall and decently detailed for the size.
Star Trek Attack Wing Miniature - Value $12-15 on Amazon
Everyone gets one random Star Trek Attack Wing miniature from Heroclix.
It arrives with the figure and buildable stand. Along with Heroclix cards for the game.
Topps Doctor Who Trading Cards - Value $2-3?
Everyone also gets one pack of Doctor Who trading cards. These are a bit unique because every pack is guaranteed to have one autographed card.
We pulled a Rory Williams autographed card. This is a pretty cool approach to trading cards!
Emoji Squishiez - Value $7 on Walmart
The final item is another blind box toy - each one featuring an emoji.
Each little figure can be taken out entirely - or you can use the little ball as a stand.
Verdict: I really enjoyed the majority of items in this month's Collector's Case - and that's not really a surprise anymore, I've really liked what they've been doing all year! I'm excited to see how the box expands without themes in 2018.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. You’ll find the current available theme on their landing page.
