I haven’t received an email I checked my spam folder and it isn’t there. I guess I should give Customer Service a call to see if there is anyway they could send me the email. I wonder if I didn’t get it because February is the last month of the $39.99 deal for 3 months. I already agreed to another four months at a discount so there should not be a problem…who knows could be anything

Great job allure! I know there are only 4 choices , but…. it’s a choice people. I personally have always loved my allure box. I love the perfume mini’s they send sometimes. Im looking at this as the half full option so thanks Allure for giving us a choice

I agree, this is a big step in the right direction. Yes, the shade are very limited, but they are making an effort and if we support them for going in the correct direction, they will, perhaps, go further in the correct direction.

I never got the email which is no surprise as I never get a shipping one either. I went on line and there was no option to pick so I called and the rep knew of the product but not that we cold pick. She put a note on my account but not sure that will fly. I don’t understand why it is so hard for some companies to get their crap together. She said she didn’t know if it was full size but I sort of think it will be otherwise why the picking at all? If it was just a little sample why let us pick at all?

Snowhitetwin

What’s the big deal…..pick a shade out of the four and move on.

Lisag1977

Agree. People complain if there’s no choice and complain if there is. If you can’t wear any of them donate it. Women at battered women’s shelters and who are getting back on their feet after addiction or being homeless can use them.

For instances like this and also other things that are liquid, I bought the nyx liquid white color corrector that helps you customize things. That way if I get something that is too dark I can add a drop or two to lighten stuff up and still be able to try it out. It works vey well and it’s cheap. There are other brands that have the same kinda thing that include more colors to really customize -reds, yellows, blacks etc. so if you’re hard to match in general you might want to invest in one. They don’t really change the formula just the shade and once you start playing around with them it’s actually fun lol. It’s like making your own personal makeup ! Hope that helps someone 👍🏼

taintedtiara

now THAT is an item that would be useful in a sub box (and something i’ve never seen before much less knew existed!)

Reply ButtonReply

Toni

Love that you posted this !!! I’m going to have to get some if this

Reply ButtonReply

Paige

Thanks for sharing this, it’s great information!

Reply ButtonReply

Ivonne

You are so right. I bought the custom drops from Cover FX and i’ve been able to try a lot more stuff! they are pricey but one drop is only i need.

Reply ButtonReply

Denise

Those are great and offer more color choices for a lot of different things. They are thinner texture than the nyx is also and a little does go a long way !! I’ve used them to tone down the orangish shades of lipstick the boxes send so many of instead of tossing them. But everyone one do a little test dabs ( I use the lids of empty medicine bottles) to see your correct ratios so you don’t over do a whole bottle and end up with an unwearable shade again. Lol I’m one of those really hard to match foundation people, and I can’t get a perfect “off the shelf” color and I don’t want to pay for a special blend because I change color in different seasons etc.

Aileen

That’s a great suggestion! I have the same lightening drops and didn’t even think to use it for this! If the color ends of being too dark, I definitely will! Thanks!

Ella

Thanks so much for posting this! I love trying foundations/concealers in sub boxes & it’s good to know the drops won’t change the formula.

Goldie007

I selected Cognac. While the selection was not the best, I appreciate having the option. I look forward to trying the sample.

I hope Allure continues to offer customization and expands it in the future.

Jacki

Allure doesn’t notify me when they charge me or when they ship. I’m not expecting to receive this email either. Oh well… I don’t have yellow skin anyway.

Reply ButtonReply

Tiffany

I just got my email yesterday and had a chance to pick my shade. 🤞🏽 that it’s the right color.

Reply ButtonReply

Vita

I am concerned because I have searched all folders in my e mail. I have been with Allure for years now but can’t find the e mail. Can anyone tell me when the e mail was sent? I guess I will have to call customer service to request a new e mail. Also what was written as the subject of the e mail? Thanks <3

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

I received the email yesterday, and it was from Allure Beauty Box, and its title was “Customize Your March Beauty Box!”.

Reply ButtonReply

Erin

What is the email subject line?

Reply ButtonReply

Marilyn

“Customize Your March Beauty Box!”
This e-mail arrived in my inbox (promo section on my gmail account) two e-mails before the MSA alert arrived.

Reply ButtonReply

Desiree

Will they give us the option to pick if we subscribed through Amazon?

Sarah Thomas

If your anything below or at an nc15 I would pick marble. Definitely check out temptalias matrix foundation finder to get the best option out of the 4 to pick. Its not a lot of options here but If your able to find something close to ur tone. Better than just guessing.

Reply ButtonReply

Heather

And marble is going to pull sooooo yellow on me. Dang neutral undertones.

Reply ButtonReply

Melissa W.

Yayyy! Thank you for listing the site.. Marble came up as my match!

Reply ButtonReply

Sarah Thomas

No problem! Marble was close to my shade as well. Pretty excited! 🙂

Jackie

Great site, thanks!

Reply ButtonReply

Sarah Thomas

Glad I could help! 🙂

Drminniecooper

Wow, that site is really useful, Thank you!

As luck would have it, the marble shade is the best match for foundation color that I currently use, so score. 🙂 Cant wait to try my sample.

Sarah Thomas

Your very welcome! Its a great site and very helpful.

Am I the only one that hasn’t gotten an email yet? Just checking since it seems like I don’t always get Allure emails…starting to get paranoid. Lol…

Megan

I haven’t gotten mine yet…makes me kind of worried.

Reply ButtonReply

Pink5

I just saw mine and replied.

LB

Be sure to check your spam/junk folder or gmail calls it “promotional” folder. Mine was hidden in there….

LB

Nevermind…I did find it in my spam folder. Of course the most important one went there!!

This is actually the foundation I use- I started using it for my wedding in 2012 when there were fewer colors- I used the equivalent of 245 Soft Sand. This foundation was nothing short of amazing. When I returned to Sephora 2 years ago, I was matched to shade 235 (Ivory Beige). I’m not sure if it was my skin or the formula, but the foundation didn’t seem to work quite as well (still good, just not flawless). I’m excited to try it again with my beauty box! I can’t decide between Marble or Dark Sand. For anyone who has more experience with foundation, which is better- a little bit lighter or a little bit darker?

Reply ButtonReply

Maggie

Beauty-obsessed gal here!
Depends on personal preference, if you tend to put more products such as bronzer over your makeup a lighter shade is fine.
If you don’t use bronzer a shade a shade or 2 lighter than your natural shade will make you look more tan but still natural.
Personally I would pick whichever is closer to your exact shade, as that will be the most natural!
Hope that helps a little!

Christy

Allure, will you marry me?

Reply ButtonReply

Linda

I chose marble but now thinking that will be too light and should have chosen dark sand. Anyone know if I can change my pick?

Reply ButtonReply

annika

I think you can…try the link they sent you again.

Reply ButtonReply

Chris

I am happy.. how many boxes do you find foundation in? I don’t use it every day but like to have it

Reply ButtonReply

Rashma

Is this foundation full size???

Reply ButtonReply

Bonnie

Probably not. The deluxe sample probably only comes in 4 shades.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

No way. MUFE is a pro brand that’s been in MUA kits since 1984.. It’s not a new brand or product by any sense of it and the number 1 most sold foundation at Sephora. These are little sample bottles that Sephora has sent out as gwp/freebie and in the Play! boxes…

Reply ButtonReply

Dea

I’m assuming NOT. The brand will probably not want to give full-size foundation away to so many people. Oh well. I only pay $16.05 for the box, so I’m happy anyway.

Reply ButtonReply

GodIsGood

Hey we got a full sized sundey riley so anything’s possible:-) but you may be right though, as I do feel that they would have put it out there to promote the box as they did for Jan…ohh well keeping my fingers crossed, hoping we get an answer soon!

GodIsGood

I’m assuming it is, otherwise why go through all the trouble for a smaller sample..but It would be great to know for sure!! Liz can you please find out!?!?!!? Thank you!!!!!

Reply ButtonReply

Tracey

Oh i got my email already to pick. Picked sand. That Marble is just tooo pale for me.

Reply ButtonReply

Barbie

Ditto! So excited that they’re letting USD customize instead of giving us a sample card!

Reply ButtonReply

Tracey

I really like they’re giving us the options. The Ultra HD comes in 40 shades, and 4 out of it is a bit limited for matching for a lot of people, but I still applaud them trying it. At least you might be able to get a colour that you can mix to match your skintone. I am going to request Sand, hopefully I can make that work. The Marble is far too yellow toned for me. I need pink undertones.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

I thought the same. I have gone through bottles of R230 and every option offered here is a YELLOW!! I don’t need a sample bc I have the FS, but it’s still nice to have for in my purse for touch ups and for traveling… really wish they had more colour options. I guess it’s yet again both sides of the spectrum not being represented (typically very light and very dark undertones are pink/red)
I
For anyone who wants to sample it and they are one of the other 36 colours, Sephora will give them to you for free all day every day 😊 and colour match you too 😁

Reply ButtonReply

Erica

This would be a weird one to select no preference on

Reply ButtonReply

Christine G

My thoughts exactly! 🤔

Reply ButtonReply

Juliana

This is awesome! I got a sample of this in my play box and loved it so much I bought a full size. Marble is my exact match too! I hope its full size but I’d be happy with a deluxe sample for travel.

Reply ButtonReply

Toni

Me too !! And the color they sent me worked really well for me (Y335) I picked sand the second one , I hope it works for me . I thought it would be a great sample to carry in my purse

Reply ButtonReply

Luminoussoul

Do you have yellow or pink undertones? I’m pale but with pink undertones and I think marble might be too yellow and sand is too dark, le sigh.

Reply ButtonReply

Jen

YES, all 4 options are yellow tones!! I wear R230 and it’s a dead on match for me (fair skin with red hair and cool pink undertones) best bet is to stop in to Sephora and have them give you some samples 😊

Heather

Good thing women only have four different skin tones.

Reply ButtonReply

Lisa

I think the problem for me is that they are all yellow based colors

Reply ButtonReply

Jamie

My aunt used to be a make up artist for magazine shoots, and she said that yellow-toned foundations come out better in photos. I am cool-toned too, but she gave me a yellow-toned foundation in my engagement photos and it looked great. So if it’s too yellow for everyday wear, one option is to use it when you know you’ll be in pictures.
Also if the shade is too light or dark for you, you can try using it as a highlight or contour. I’m just happy to have options at all!

Jessicups

Exactly! I am a very fair cool so I just don’t see how even the lightest choice will work. Even 8 choices with a light yellow/red, medium with y/r, ext would have been nice.

Tracey

I agree, that is a little frustrating, given that MUFE is awesome about having a range with 40 colours, its one of the things that sets them apart from a lot of other foundation brands. Selecting from 4 out of them seems a bit limiting, given their range of colours is one thing they have going for them. But for $15 for whatever size we get (not assuming full size), I’ll give it a try. I liked the Sephora sample I got a few months back.

Reply ButtonReply

Lisag1977

They can only give what the company sends. At least they’re trying to customize. Jeez.

Reply ButtonReply

Marie

What is the size of the foundation?

Reply ButtonReply

Let's Swap

I wish we could customize something I would actually use since I don’t wear foundation.
