BuddhiBox has had a subscription box for yoga and meditation for years, but they recently launched BuddhiBox Essential Oils, a monthly aromatherapy/meditation subscription. Every month, subscribers receive various essential oils and crystals that support a specific guided meditation, which is also included.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out our review process post to learn more about how we review boxes.)

BuddhiBox Essential Oils February 2018 Review
Each month's BuddhiBox includes a card with an inspiring mantra on the front and info about the contents of the box on the back. I love this month's message! Thich Nhat Hanh is a Vietnamese Buddhist monk and peace activist who I've found has a ton of beautiful words of wisdom like this. I'm happy that one appeared in my BuddhiBox!
KAILO Heart Essence Roll-On Essential Oil, 10 ml - Retail Value $42.00
After taking a month off from classic roll-on essential oils (last month's oil was a room spray), BuddhiBox is back to their roots. But, from a new brand that's new to me! KAILO's aromatherapeutic products are chakra-themed and fitting for the upcoming holiday of love, this one is a dedication to the heart chakra. It's a vibrant blend of jojoba, bergamot, palmarosa, lavender, lemon, and geranium essential oils—all organic—and I love this blurb from the KAILO website: "Combined with organic essential oils and energetic/vibrational infusions, this Essence will restore balance to the heart chakra, leaving you feeling full of love and compassion for self and others, peaceful, and empathetic."
They also included a coupon code for 15% off your next KAILO Wellness order.
Emerald Green Tanzurine Stone - Listed Value $8.00
What a beautiful stone! I don't believe I've ever encountered a green tanzurine stone before, but green is my favorite color—the color of nature—so I love that it's now part of my collection. I'll surely be putting this one on display!
Reiki Herbal Votive Candle - Aphrodesia — Listed Value $6.00
Last month, my BBEO box included a beautiful, yellow reiki votive candle, which came along with a small slip informing subscribers how to positively charge their candle before lighting. This month's candle looks almost identical in shape and craftsmanship to last month's, but there's no instructional slip and no brand associated with it on the info card. I found that to be kind of confusing, but either way, this is a beautiful pink candle. Its rose and vanilla scent blend is intended to awaken sensuality, and indeed it would be a romantic candle to light for Valentine's day or any other intimate evening.
The Dreaming Yogi Meditation - Listed Value $10
Each month, a small card is included in the box with a link to follow to retrieve your meditation from The Dreaming Yogi. This month when I followed the link, her website showed an error page, but I reached out using the email address on BuddhiBox's website, and the founder of the subscription was extremely quick to respond and work with Meli (who hosts each month's meditation) to resolve the issue. Once I was able to follow the link to access the meditation, I love what I found! Meli recorded herself in front of a beautiful tapestry this time around, which made it easy to focus on her and her voice without wanting to curiously see what's in the room behind her. The 11-minute video starts by Meli suggesting some scents and stones you can use to help enhance your meditation, then she teaches us a new mudra. I love hearing/seeing her address the camera—she is so sweet! She then leads us in a self-love meditation, which is always a wonderful gift to the self—Valentine's Day season or not!
Palo Santo Stick — Listed Value $4.00
I love, love, love the scent of palo santo and have enjoyed receiving it in past BBEO boxes. I'm sure many of you are familiar with the concept here—it's similar to incense as far as lighting the stick goes, but you have to hold it to the flame for a little longer for it to really catch. I thought I'd go ahead and show the step-by-step in images this time around. Such a wonderfully earthy, cleansing scent!
Verdict: This was a pretty standard BuddhiBox Essential Oils box, but a solid one nonetheless. I think it's easy to enjoy the sometimes repetitive contents of this box if you're subscribing for the right reasons, which is to replenish your supply of intentional gifts and tools and take the time to quiet your mind for a monthly meditation. This box costs $15.95 (US shipping included), and its contents add up to $70, which was calculating using listed values.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the March box. Order by the 8th of the month to receive that month’s box.
Value Breakdown: At $15.95 for this box, you're paying approximately $3.19 for each of the 5 included items.
