Ellie February 2018 Review
Ellie moved to a new system that's a lot like Fabletics. Each month, you get to choose one of three fitness outfits that you'd like to receive. (You have until the 4th of the month to pick.) You can also skip the month and not be billed. And in the meantime, your membership will grant you access to their catalog of discounted fitness wear and gear.
I didn't choose in time, so Ellie chose my outfit for me. This is the "La Vie En Rose" look for February 2018.
Cute, right?
Balance Collection Teva Tank, Size Medium - Estimated Value $29.00
I found this top in a different color priced at $29.00, which I listed above. This rayon/polyester tank is on the thin side, so it's a bit sheer. I love the petal pink color and the gentle V neckline in the front. The strappy shoulders feel a bit geometric and angular for how easygoing and delicate the rest of this top feels, but that's just me being picky. I'll definitely be throwing this on over a sports bra before going for a jog around the neighborhood!
Marika Eveny Seamless Bra in Black, Size Medium - Estimated Value $19.95
I couldn't find this specific Eveny style online, but I found a similar Marika seamless look priced at $19.95. I love bras like these! This nylon/spandex look has all-over stretch, so it really moves with me. It gives a solid amount of coverage and has cups that aren't too flimsy, nor too stiff. Plus, hello, it's black (my favorite color to wear), which means it'll go with all sorts of leggings and tops.
Marika Jordan Evade Leggings, Size Large - Retail Value $55.00 (Found here for $22.99)
These leggings are awesome! They're made from a nylon/spandex/polyester blend with a special Coolmax polyester thrown in for good measure. I love how these high-waisted leggings feel on—they're not particularly thin, but they don't feel suffocating or too warm. They don't slip down my hips, either, which is a joy for me. I'm usually not a big fan of brighter pink patterns, but something about this futuristic fabric just looks awesome on. The sheer details are pretty sweet, too!
Bally Cooling Towel - Retail Value $14.00 (Found here for $7.00)
I've gotten one of these in a previous Ellie box! They're surprisingly functional—I'm not against having a second one. Essentially, it's a towel that almost always feels like it's been run under a cool tap, except it's dry to the touch. I like these for cooling down post hot yoga class!
Bally Mesh Running Cap - Estimated Value $22.00
I've gotten this hat in the past, too! I don't use my last one very often, but that's because I don't think it looks all that great on my head. (It makes it look really small... ha!) But it's a good hat that stays put really well. The mesh and vented details make it really comfortable to wear during a workout, too.
Verdict: Wow, I really liked this month's apparel picks! They're super comfortable, fit nicely, and just look super snazzy. Quality fitness items like this can go for almost the full cost of this box... a piece. So getting three pieces for the price of one (and gear too) is a good deal to me. I'm a little bummed that the two pieces of gear are both repeats (albeit from boxes that are many months in the past). But hopefully next month, there will be some unique extras to make up for it!

Value Breakdown: The five-item box costs $49.95 (with free shipping, as I'm in the continental US). Many of the items in the box were tricky to find values for, but the two that I could find solid retail prices for added up to about $69.00. That's already over the cost of the box itself. You can also look at the average price I paid for each of the five items, based on the cost I paid for the box, is $9.99.
