Fair Trade Friday Earring of the Month Club January 2018 Review

These little cards were included in my box. They contain information about Fair Trade Friday and about Mercy House Kenya, Fair Trade Friday's parent organization.

I went to the Grain of Rice Project website to try and find these earrings online, or to find out more information about them, but their shop seems to be temporarily offline. I love them, though! The black and white contrast is very chic. I think the hook is brass, and the pendants feel like stone, but they must be some sort of composite to have this color pattern. In any case, these were made in Kenya in an effort to provide basic necessities to people living in the slums.

The Verdict: I love my subscription to Fair Trade Friday Earring OTM Club. This month's earrings are so pretty! I can't always find the earrings for sale online, but I always feel like they are worth more than the $13 cost of the subscription. I also really like the charitable giving aspect of this subscription.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, you will receive the February box. Order by the 15th of each month to get that month's box.

The earrings might be bone? I’ve seen similar bone work on fair trade items before.
