This month, there's a pop of Valentine's Day red on display. Something about these gray-flecked black socks reminds me of composition book covers. Do you see what I'm getting at? There's something nostalgic and school-days-ish about them, though I can't put my finger on what. Regardless, I like the bold, contrasting patterns and of course, their comfy, foot-hugging design.

Verdict: I liked this month's red and black motif. It's neat that they're not overtly Valentine's Day-ish (FootSteps has been kind of overt with holiday designs in the past), but the vibrant red is still there. As usual, these socks are super comfortable—they hold your foot in the right places, are reinforced in all the right places, and have plenty of height (which is particularly nice for chilly late-winter walks or runs). They're meant for athletic activities, but I find them awfully comfy to wear around the house in lieu of slippers!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No. Sign up by the last week of the month to receive the next pair.
