February 2018 Geek Fuel Review

The February 2018 box kicks off a brand new pin series along with items from Castlevania and Black Panther.

Each delivery arrives with a detailed card that gives you information on each item.

It also comes with a mini magazine. This has a few sections dedicated to interviews and stories - plus the always-awesome gift guide!

Geek Fuel once again with the awesome packaging - making unboxing that much more fun.

Castlevania Shirt - Value $15?

This month's exclusive shirt is really just a treasure to all Nintendo fans out there! It features the classic game cover front and center. My favorite part - the shirt color! To me, it gives it that game cartridge vibe.

Pin Palz - Big Trouble In Little China - Value $5-10?

Geek Fuel has completed it's robot pin series and starts the new Pin Palz series. Each month will include officially licensed pins - starting with Big Trouble in Little China.

The quality is what you've come to expect from the pins - this time featuring square-headed characters.

There were 5 to collect, including 1 rare pull. I do love the action figure packaging with extra little references. There are just a lot of nice touches to these unboxings.

Ninja Fridge Magnets - Value $10?

Add a little ninja flare to your fridge notes with these exclusive ninja star magnets.

Each one is plastic with two little magnets on the end to get a good grip. They're on the smaller side - about 2 inches vertically, so they'll be good for smaller items.

Black Panther Print - Value $10?

You'll get one of two variants featuring Black Panther artwork from artist, Florey.

There is a purple colored rare variant, I received the red. It arrives rolled up in plastic. Unrolled, it's an 8x10 print on a bit thicker cardstock.

RATZ Instagib Steam Game - Value $10

This month's Steam game is RATZ Instagib.

This is a FPS game with a lot of stylized cell-shading throughout. As someone who isn't the best at FPS games, this one didn't make its way into my favorites.

BONUS: Fandango Black Pather Movie Cash

I missed out on previous movie cash giveaways in past Geek fuel boxes - so I was super excited to find that I scored some Black Panther movie money! These are randomly inserted into their boxes this month - did you get one?

Verdict: So far, I like the new pin series better than the robot-themed pins - the only thing I miss is the amazing packaging for some of those pins - but whose to say that's not coming, so I'll wait. My values add up to around $55 - which is about double the cost. If you like their shirts and Steam games like I do - then that covers your costs, leaving the rest as a bonus.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! You can always tell which month your subscription will start with on Geek Fuel's homepage banner at the top left of the screen - under their logo!

I received the box I ordered for my 13 yo son from Groupon today and it had the Big Trouble pin Lo Pan, the ninja magnets, Ratz and another Steam game, a GOTG shirt, Mario bros shell and ghost pin too. There was a Donkey King item and Eleven waffle air freshener. He’s so in love with the turtle shell that it’s a win.
