Ivory Clasp Handbag Subscription for February 2018

I can't wait to see the handbag I picked for myself in person! Or should I say, in "purse-on"...

I don't do boho, festival-inspired fashion often. But when I do, it's via a bag like this one! For one thing, it's black (the best color), and second, it's got a nice bit of shiny gold hardware running across the top, which I think gives it a more downtown, city vibe. The bag is about 9.5 inches across, so it's on the smaller side—it's just enough for phone, keys, wallet, and maybe some critical extras, like a smallish paperback and whatever 3-5 lip glosses I'm loving most at the moment. The inside is lined and has a zip-shut pocket for change (or all those lip glosses), and the flap snaps shut via a sturdy magnetic closure.

For being a faux-leather bag, I'm pretty happy with the feeling of the material. The fringe has a decent suede-like feel, and the rest of the bag is smooth and has just enough stiffness to it without feeling plasticy.

The Verdict: I really liked my pick this month! I appreciate that I get to choose now, rather than getting something random sent my way. The bags they gave me to pick from fit into my general sense of style, too, so I still feel like I'm getting a somewhat curated experience. While I can't say that these bags are the nicest quality (they're rarely real leather, nor are they from big name brands), they wear well and look great—thus far, I haven't noticed any of the bags I've gotten wearing down or fraying at the edges. So the $45.00 mark seems pretty reasonable, especially when you factor in the curatorial service they provide.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You can definitely still sign up, but what bag you get depends on what you enter into your style profile and what's available. There's no guarantee that you'll get to pick this same look, but you might get something else that's just your style!

Value Breakdown: Ivory Clasp costs $45.00 per month, but I received a bag that retails for $108.00! Even at the sale price I found it for, the bag would cost at least $48.00 plus shipping (which from the vendor itself, is $10.00).

Has anyone ever had issues with customer service? I chose this bag in tan but got an INC bags. When I emailed them, first they said they couldn’t find me when I did include the order number. Gave more information response I got was whatg e-mail show we send a shipping label to and you do know the republic of aces bag is the same size as the Inc. I responded twice for my label andx nothing. I am very upset and disappointed with their customer service

It is funny how they retail this bag for 108$ and have discounted for 48$. And it is faux leather. 🤣😂 Even in Europe that bag would be seen for just maybe 20 to 30 euro, maybe less. :-)))

I had this sub for last years Galentines seasonal deal and im so glad its over. Crap quality, and some ugly @ss bags. Not worth the 15$ each i had that deal for.

I think the bag you picked is cute and your outfit is adorable. I subscribed to IC last year and was very happy with all the bags they sent. Actually all but one,not a color I love, BUT that bag was a very expensive brand that I’ve seen in Nordstrom’s. All the bags I received were good quality and had a RV of over $100. Even the lowest online prices were higher than what I paid through IC. Getting to choose your bag makes me even more tempted to subscribe again.

I received that bag last year. The tag on the inside sticks out and is lucite so it scratched my hand every time I would go inside the back. Not a very good design.

I signed up last Galentine’s Day. I chose bags with lots of graphic patterns. What I ended up with was one bag that was a weird color of gray and then a plain black bag. I use both but I wasn’t really excited for either.

I signed up last year for their valentines special which was 4 bags for the year for like $65 I think? Anyways, I’m so glad that sub is over! These bags they send are not good quality at all. Definitely not worth the regular $45 price. I was glad I at least got a good deal, but this was not one I was going to resub to ever.

I need to be honest. This bag is not pretty and looks cheap. I saw so many posts on here about Ivory Clasp …so I subscribed hoping they would send bags tailored to me. I specifically requested plain colors…no fringe…..name brand bags. I got the cheapest black tote bag with fringe and SEQUINS!!!! I was mortified by it. I wrote to them and because I had take the packaging off, they wouldn’t allow me to return it….even though I had everything else in tact. The material was a fake leather and smelled like a purse straight out of Walmart. So disappointing. For $40 a month, I expect real leather (or at least looks real) and tailored to me specific requests.

Ugh, that really stinks that they didn’t pay attention to your preferences, Laura. If you’re going to sign up for a personalized service, you definitely expect something that’s at least CLOSE to your style. I’m so sorry! Thanks so much for sharing your feelings on this one. It’s a bummer that the bag you got was such a letdown!

Yeah, there’s no way in hell I am paying $45 for this. And why would I want a new poor quality handbag every single month!? Just no.

I tried it for a month when they offered the $10 deal, and even then I paid too much. My bag was HUGE and covered with fringe, was a horrible pleather material. I can get Coach on sale for not much more than this, so no thanks!!
