Kira Kira Crate February 2018 Review
Kira Kira Crate always comes with a booklet that describes all the items and how to use them, which is great because the majority of the packaging is written in Japanese! They feature customer photos that use the hashtag #kirakiracrate to share on social media. The theme for this box is Treat Yourself, with a bunch of items that will make self-love a snap!
Panda Soap
This is the perfect item for me because pandas are my favorite animal! I loved this cute little set that included a small loofah bag along with this activated charcoal soap. The soap had a very faint smell, but it was a pleasant one; a mix of clean with just a hint of flowers. And how cute is that package?
Nail Cuticle Care Cream
I received the rose-scented version of this product, and though the smell isn’t super-strong, it’s definitely rose! I am always looking for ways to help keep my cuticles from cracking in the winter, and I love how easy this nail cream is to use. It’s not a typical cream, it’s more like a really skinny chapstick, making the cuticle treatment very easy to apply. This is never going to leave my purse!
Tsum Tsum Sheet Masks x 3
I was a little late to the Tsum Tsum game, but I’m completely won over by these adorable masks! I was really impressed that they included three masks in the box; they lasted me a while! Mickey and Minnie offered argan oil in their mask, Donald and Daisy had collagen as the main ingredient, but the Winnie the Pooh was my favorite - honey was the star of his mask, which is one of my very favorite sheet mask ingredients. It smelled floral and sweet and made my skin hydrated and bright. Honey sheet masks are actually what I reach for first on the rare occasions I’ve had a sunburn. I don’t know if they work this way for everyone, but they soothe the sting immediately, and it seems like I recover faster, too.
Fresh Cherry Bath Tablet
I love the variety of bath products in this subscription, and this tablet offered a fizzy, lightly cherry-scented experience. It’s said to improve circulation, which I’m not sure I noticed in myself, but it did provide a very relaxing experience. I was happy the scent was light; cherry is not usually one of my favorites! Cherry lovers would really go bananas for this!
Color Mud Pack
Packaged exactly like paint, this is actually another facial cleansing mask! Subscribers could get either blue, green, or black, and all had different star ingredients. I received the black version, which uses activated charcoal to get rid of impurities. This color mask takes the ingredients one step further and contains pearl silk to moisturize. So luxurious! And it smells fantastic! I couldn’t quite put my finger on what the smell is, but it reminds me almost exactly of the bubbling blackhead mask from Milkypiggy that I buy online.
Peach Peeling Pad
Another example of great variety in these boxes! This was a cool little exfoliating pad that had one soft side, and the other side was a texture perfect for cleaning away the day’s dirt. The smell took me right back to my teen years, where a sleepover wasn’t truly a celebration without a big bag of peach rings!
Verdict: Another awesome Kira Kira Crate, in my opinion! I loved the masks, as always, and the cuticle cream stick was the perfect addition to my daily routine. I really like the variety in the types of products that are included. I love trying new products, and I really appreciate that this was curated with really neat items that I probably wouldn’t have found on my own.
