Loot Anime "Game On" January 2018 Review
Loot Anime includes a poster in lieu of an info card. Thie months is inspired by the game Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Memoria Freese. On the back, there's a visual product list and the name of the theme—Game On!
Exclusive Steins;Gate T-Shirt
According to the information on the back of the poster, Steins;Gate (which is kind of like a blend between a game and a choose-your-own-adventure book) will be coming out with a new game soon AND an anime! This 100% cotton tee is super soft and has kind of a vintage-tee vibe about it. Very cool!
Exclusive Is It Wrong to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? Memoria Freese Character Enamel Pins
Awwww, how cool are these pins?! I love enamel pins, and it's cool that these ones feature the game's protagonist, Bell, and Hestia, one of Bell's many admirers. The style is cute and the fact that each inch-tall pin has two posts on the back means they'll stay put on my jacket or backpack.
Exclusive Edition of Final Fantasy Type-O Manga with Bonus Poster
You can't have a gaming-themed anime box without including something about Final Fantasy! This manga not only includes awesome art and of course, a compelling, action-packed story but also a bonus "poster". I put it in quotes because it's really just a 9" x 7.5" poster-paper version of the cover art of the manga that's folded into the front pages. Still cool, but maybe not what I'd think of as a poster.
Exclusive Shadow the Hedgehog Figurine
Now this item is my speed. Who doesn't love Sonic the Hedgehog? Oh, I know who. SHADOW! This guy may technically be a villain, but he sure is cool. This statue is equally awesome. It's about 4.25" tall and comes with a base and a giant ring for a backdrop. I know it's weird, but I keep wishing I had sneakers like those...
The Verdict: This month's box was cool, especially since, as usual, so many items were exclusives. The quality of everything was top-notch, too. To me, the big draw of this subscription is being able to get so many awesome exclusive figurines. Really nice statuettes like the ones that come in this box can be around $20.00 or so, so they definitely add to the value of the box in a big way.
