Steve Madden Infinity Scarf - Estimated Value $11.99

I love how easy infinity scarves are to toss on and go. This scarf looks gray from afar but has hints of purple-y and white threads swirling through its open knit. It's super soft and surprisingly voluminous for being so open. It was a bit surprising to see all of this puff of fuzzy fibers packed into the box, but once I realized what I was looking at (and put it into an outfit), I was pleased!

Ladies Winter Basics Socks

I couldn't find the brand on the tag online, but these socks are pretty cute. They're great for puttering around the cold house, thanks to their soft knit, grippy soles, and fuzzy, fur-like details. The blue and purple patterns are cute, too. I kind of wish I'd received these at the start of winter, but it looks like we'll be having enough cold weather that they'll still get plenty of use!

American Eagle Outfitters Long Heart Necklace - Listed Value $17.50

While I couldn't find this item listed on AEO's site, the retail value of the necklace is listed on the tag that comes with it! This necklace is a little too antiquey for my taste, but I know sooo many friends who would love this little trinket—maybe I'll use it as a gift! The chain is about 31 inches long (counting its 2 inches of extender chain), so it's got a longer, elegant vibe about it. It's the kind of thing that I can toss over my head—no need to undo the clasp! The antiqued gold and silver hearts remind me of the kinds of pretty flourishes you find on old-timey silverware or metal tea sets.

rusty back of metal box sign

Love Laugh Love Light-Up Sign - Estimated Value $15.00

The only place where I could find this 11" x 6" sign was on eBay, where it's listed for $15.00. eBay prices aren't as reliable as straight-up retail values, so take that value with a grain of salt. This sign has a cute sentiment, and I like the fact that the letters in "Love" have marquee-style lights in them that turn on via a switch on the side of the piece. There's a little hanger on the back, too, in case you'd rather hang it than stand it up. Unfortunately, when this box arrived, the included batteries were leaking out of their compartment in the sign. Eeek! You can see how rusty and strangely sticky the upper corner of the piece looks. But no worries! If you ever receive a product in sad shape, you can simply reach out to Peaches and Petals, and they'll send you a comparable replacement for what you got. (Note that you might not get an identical replacement, as Peaches and Petals products are sometimes limited!)

The Verdict: Apart from the funky battery issue, I was pleased with the items in this box. I was surprised to see name brands featured in the box—I'm glad that they kept the tags on the items so that I could see where they came from! While the accessories weren't entirely my style (not something I'd go looking for), I do like the scarf surprisingly more than I expected, and the necklace is cute enough that it'll make a great gift. And the value seems to be there, given that the three items I could find values total $44.49. (The box itself costs $19.99.)

Isn’t Live Laugh Love about 10 years ago?

I have subscribed to peaches and petals several years. Most boxes have been good. The January box never was shipped (hey that happens no big deal) I email them they sent another one right out. The box was a huge disappointment. No welcome card, no paper packing squiggles (my daughter loves these.) It looked like someone dug around in their junk box. She did get a very thin scarf (no infinity scarf) a broken pair of earrings, socks (they were cute) and no picture instead a cheap plastic cosmetic bag. I sent a very nice email about the box. No reply. Resent the email because hey sometimes emails get lost – no reply. Terrible customer service. I have discontinued my subscription. There are just so many subscription boxes I do not continue on with a company who has poor customer service.

My sign had a huge scrape on the front that was extremely noticeable. They offered me a $3.99 refund “based on the amount of damage”. That’s not even 25% of the price of the box if the average cost of the four items was $5.00. They refused to offer an alternative solution. I’ll never buy another subscription or product from Jammin Butter. The socks also had crooked toe seams and my necklace had no clasp.

Oh no! I’m so sorry to hear that, Shelly! The clasp-less necklace is particularly weird. Thank you SO much for sharing your experience!!!
