Sticky Kit February 2018 Review
Printed Mini-Envelope
This month as I unpacked my Sticky Kit envelope, it seemed like the goodies were never-ending! Usually, there is just 1 small stationery item included, but this time around, this little envelope is 1 of 2. It's got an adorable critter pattern on it, and space to write on both the front and back (the other side looks just the same). Unfortunately, the sticky part of my sticker flakes packet got stuck to this envelope and ripped it a little, but I don't think it's ruined!
Chipmunk Bouquet Card
The second stationery item I received was this little chipmunk card! As you can see from the second photo, there is a little slit enabling his tail to wrap around things. But, the slit isn't super obvious, so you could totally use it just as a tiny card and not attach it to anything.
Refreshing Beverage Stickers
Sticky Kit has included a number of watercolor stickers throughout their subscriptions, and I think the painterly effect works particularly well for these yummy beverages! Bordering the top and bottom of this sheet are long, patterned stickers. They're basically like little washi tape (Japanese paper tape) samplers, so you could rip off pieces of them and use them accordingly! My most frequent use of washi tape is to decorate snail mail that I send to friends, but it's also made appearances when leaving notes around the house for my husband, taping reminders to my computer monitor at work, and beyond.
Springtime Bliss Stickers
These paper stickers are so retro! They remind me of a sheet I had when I was a kid—very springy and sweet. Four of them are basically just pretty borders around blank white stickers, and I'm thinking I might write my initials in them and stick them inside my favorite books like little mini bookplates.
Garland Date Stickers
I've been seeing a trend in my Sticky Kit subscription that they often include numbered stickers. I have always just considered them to be date stickers that you could use to make a little homemade calendar or mark special dates in your planner. But, the way this sheet's numbers are bordered with super-cute and classy garland reminds me of house numbers. I guess if you got creative, you could use these for mail!
Watercolor Heart Stickers
It's impossible to go wrong with heart stickers! These paper guys feature multicolor watercolor hearts, many with little metallic gold details. Do I even need to suggest what to use heart stickers for? Anything and everything!
Pack of 81 Sassy Lady Stickers
Sticky Kit always tosses in a pack of loose stickers with their own individual paper backings. This month, they're all sorts of personality-filled girly girls with the coolest colored hair! It's funny, I counted 81 stickers in this pack—9 of the girl I have laid out in a row at the top and 8 of everything else. While I had so much fun seeing what each girl was wearing and how she was posing, I'm having a hard time picturing a use for this pack in my life. They feel a little young for me, so maybe I'll toss 'em in the mail for my little cousin!
Character Dessert Stickers & Collector Sheet
Finally, these funny little dessert guys. They're plastic stickers with clear borders, and they're SO cute. I think my favorite one is the crate of blueberries who's losing one of his berries, but I love them all...they remind me of dudes you'd see in the Candy Kingdom in the show Adventure Time! They also came along with a card filled with all sorts of blank spots. I think the point is to stick these little dudes in their assigned spot on the card so you can see them organized in a dessert display. For me, stickers are more about sharing with the world than collecting, so I'll probably set this card aside and just try to think of cute uses for the dessert stickers in my day to day!
Verdict: I'm tickled by the fun variety of February's Sticky Kit subscription! I think my favorite sheet this month is the one with the springy flowers and borders, partially because they're so reminiscent of some of my childhood stickers, and partially because they invite you to brainstorm your own unique use for the ones that feature white space. This sub costs $14.99 ($12.99 a month + $2 shipping), and I received 5 sheets of stickers, one pack of 81 single stickers, a petite envelope, a little card, and a sticker collector sheet.
