best galentine's day gifts 2018

Mark your calendars—Galentine's Day (a.k.a. our favorite day of the year) is February 13th! Since Leslie Knope first introduced Galentine's Day on Parks and Recreation, we here at MSA have made it a tradition to spend the day before Valentine's Day celebrating the love we have for our best friends. We eat waffles (the traditional dish of Galentine's Day...), we gab, we laugh, we share some special offers to help you get in on the fun, and of course, we give gifts!

Maybe we're a little biased, but we just love signing our pals up for subscription boxes. They're gifts that (literally) keep on giving! Plus, there are SO many different kinds of subscription boxes out there, meaning there's one to fit your bestie's style to a T.

Subscription Boxes We're Gifting for Galentine's Day

Here are just a few examples of what we're getting our besties for Galentine's Day. See whether they match your BFF's style:

Papirmass edition #95 features artist Hiller Goodspeed and comes with five small risograph prints.

1. Papirmass

From: Anna

To: My best gal, Stephanie!

The Cost: $14.00 per month (or $12 per month for prepaid quarterly, or $8 per month for prepaid annual)

Why I picked it: My gal pal Stephanie works in museums and galleries supporting small artists. I think she'd love getting the indie art prints that come in this monthly art subscription!

2. Fabletics

From: Sara

To: My bestie, Kristin!

The Cost: $49.95 a month for access to Fabletics' VIP prices. That membership fee goes towards anything your friend decides to purchase. (They can also choose to skip any month and avoid the charge!) Help get them started with a Fabletics gift card!

Why I picked it: My BFF Kristin is an avid runner and looks incredible in any gear. I've had so much fun getting JustFab each month (which is a fashion version of this subscription from the same company) and know she'll love the ability to pick out a new workout outfit of her choice.

3. Heima Box

From: Lacey

To: My awesome friend, Morgan!

The Cost: $29/month for the small size box. The medium box is $54 per month and the large box is $89 per month.

Why I picked it: My friend Morgan shares my love of modern and Nordic design, and since we're both always working on DIY remodeling and decorating projects, we are always swapping tips for home decor items. I think she'd love this box! It's always well curated, and I can definitely see all of the items fitting in beautifully with everything in her home.

4. Botanic + Terre

From: Marne

To: My BFF, Alicia!

The Cost: $40.99 every other month

Why I picked it: My bestie is a health-conscious vegetarian and always on the lookout for cruelty-free and natural/organic skincare. She's also a minimalist, so the fact that Botanic + Terre usually only includes a few high-quality products every other month won't overwhelm her.

Papirmass is a great idea for a gift!

Go Native is really fun, especially if your friend is ingredient conscious or into Hawaii.
