Dia & Co. is a monthly plus size clothing subscription box that is personally curated for you by a Dia stylist. Upon enrolling with Dia, I filled out an extensive survey asking me about my clothing size/weight/height, price range, and also my style likes and dislikes. Every month my stylist selects five pieces that could be clothes or accessories to try out. If I like them, I have the option of buying them. There is a $20 per month service fee, but the fee can be applied to any purchases I opt to make. A 20% discount is applied if I choose to keep all five pieces too!
The items in my box are chosen personally for me dependent and reflective of my style and price preference, so the package you receive from Dia & Co. may be entirely different than mine!

Dia & Co. March 2018 Review
Here is that fashionable Dia & Co envelope I look forward to seeing every month!
This month Dia & Co included info on their five-day try on policy. Also, they provide info on how to upload pictures of yourself to their site.
Also enclosed in this adorable envelope is a note from my stylist, Ashby, telling me why she selected the pieces she did for me along with some helpful styling tips.
The other form is an invoice. Mine this month is blank, but I got a copy sent via email to provide the prices for each item. Generally, the invoice has a detailed list of the brand, name, color, size, and price of each item my stylist selected for me along with the grand total after the styling fee and 25% off ( if I opt to keep all five items) is applied. The total for the pieces came up to $353, but after $20 off and 25% adjustment is applied the balance would be $249.75. That means the savings would be $103.25 if I did decide to keep everything! That isn’t too shabby! That would almost be like getting the clutch and Ryan Wythe dress for free!
Springfield Sleeveless Tie Neck Gathered Waist Dress by Ryan Wythe, Size 20 - Retail Value $65.00
As soon as I saw this dress I was attracted to the yellow floral/ lemon design against the deep navy and forest green shades. The rust piping on this dress is a great contrasting accent that I like as well. I was also pleased that the rust accent detail perfectly matches my favorite sweater! This dress is sleeveless and made of a light silk-like material, but that doesn’t mean you will be limited to only wearing it in summer months. This dress with a cardigan, tights, and booties easily translates into fall and winter months. It would also look amazing in the summer paired with a wide-brimmed, floppy summer hat, round oversized sunglasses, and gold sandals. The versatility of this piece makes the $65 tag beyond reasonable!
Carrie Perforated Clutch - Retail Value $39
Red is one of my favorite colors, so I was instantly drawn to this purse! The perforated rose detail on this piece is such a unique spin on a classic design. I also love that the top flap is able to be zipped shut to store items like your wallet and keys securely. This bag also converts from a clutch shoulder bag due to the gold chain strap. This is an incredibly versatile purse that will add a pop of color to any ensemble!
Koralie Cold Shoulder Ruffle Top by Rachel by Rachel Roy, Size 2x - Retail Value $85
My opinion of this top wasn’t the highest when I initially unboxed it, but my feelings changed upon styling this item. If I had seen this piece in a store, I doubt I would have tried it on. My first impression was that it was a bad retro 90s throwback style top. I came to my senses, though, and realized this top is more than meets the eye! I struggled to try to pair this top with the other pieces in this month’s box, but then realized how perfect it would look with a skirt I already own! I styled the top with a striped pencil skirt, black tights, and heels, as well as dangly, striped ball, earrings. The end result of this look is the perfect marriage of Lydia Deetz from Beetlejuice meets Kate Pierson of the B52s meets a Fly Girl from In Living Color. The asymmetrical, ruffle, off the shoulder design seems excessive, but the eccentric details come together gorgeously. The fabric has ample stretch and is rather comfy. I also like the thick single strap because a bra strap can easily be hidden underneath. This top would look fantastic with a pair of skinny jeans, heels, and a faux fur coat or in the warmer months with high waist jean shorts and lace-up espadrille shoes. You will be living your best life in 1994 in this sassy number!
Rosie Embroidered Jacket by Jessica Simpson, Size 2x - Retail Value $89
Guys, I ain’t gonna lie to you, when I first saw this jacket I legitimately was baffled. I think I said something that rhymes with, “But the chuck?” when I saw this acid washed 80’s flashback. It is complicated with too many trends all at once! The distressed rips, the floral embroidery, and the bleached denim--- I had no idea how I would style this piece. It made me think of hair bands like Bon Jovi, Whitesnake, and Poison that were all over MTV in my childhood. My hair was not big enough to fit with this jacket. Then I put it on and realized how incredible and flattering the cut is. Some jean jackets are boxy or too cropped, but this jacket fits me perfectly! The denim isn’t too thick and bulky either; I was surprised by the quality as well. I eventually decided to pair the jacket with neutral pieces to bring out the embroidered flowers on the back and a shirt depicting my favorite hair hoppin’ country queen, Dolly Parton, that my friend Sophie of Dreaming of Johnny designed! This jacket would look great with a little black dress and cowboy booties in the summertime or a plaid western shirt tied at the waist and olive green skinny jeans in the fall. The jacket still isn’t necessarily my style, but it eventually grew on me—but not enough to keep.
Degraw Destructed Boyfriend Jeans with Embroidery by Molly & Isadora, Size 22 - Retail Value $75
I felt similarly about these jeans as I did the Jessica Simpson jacket. Once I put them on with my bell sleeve bodysuit and booties, I had a change of heart and felt like the ultimate flower child. The Stevie vibes were overflowing in this ensemble. I generally have my reservations about embroidered and torn denim pieces, but these jeans might change my mind. These aren’t as tapered as I prefer, but the cut is still rather becoming. The jeans themselves are rather comfortable and the material has the perfect amount of stretch. The only issue I have is that styling these jeans would be limited due to the embroidery. These pants would look great with a vintage raglan baseball t-shirt, oversized aviator sunglasses, and boots for a relaxed 70s era ensemble or with a turtleneck, multiple chain necklace, faux fur coat, and platform velvet Mary Jane heels for a casual, yet glamorous look.
Verdict: This month’s box truly surprised me. Initially, I was unsure how any of these pieces related to me and my style. Once I began pairing the items with my existing wardrobe, I could see why Ashby sent some of these unusual pieces my way. That is the beauty of subscription boxes like Dia & Co: you just may surprise yourself if you are open to others’ suggestions. I also love that I was able to experiment with these pieces from the convenience of my home instead of the mall! I enjoy the convenience of trying different trends from the comfort of my bedroom instead of a poorly lit fitting room. I can’t wait to see what Ashby sends me next, especially once I provide her with my feedback!
