GlossyBox is a monthly beauty subscription box. They have the best packaging in the business, their products are usually deluxe size or full size, and the value is usually good too.

This box was sent to us for review purposes. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

FYI: GlossyBox sends out multiple variations of the box during some months. So, there may be some variation between what I review and what you receive.

The Subscription Box: GLOSSYBOX

The Cost: $21 a month (save more with 6-month or annual subscription)

DEAL: Check our GlossyBox Coupon List to get the most up-to-date coupon!

The Products: Deluxe and full-size beauty products.

Ships to: US and Canada

Each box comes with a fold-out card detailing the items included:

Now, on to the items!

Morgan Taylor Nail Lacquer in Rose-y Cheeks - Retail Value $9.50

(Subscribers will receive one of three colors.)

This is a micro shimmer cotton candy pink shade.

I love the color, but the formula was a little goopy(?) - here it is on:

De Bruyere Beauté Jumbo Eye Pencil in Bubble 07 - FULL SIZE! Retail Value $18

(All subscribers will receive this color.)

This eye crayon glides on smoothly and provides excellent pigment and shimmer. It isn't smudge-proof, though, so I recommend applying this over a primer.

(Swatched in lower photo.)

Cover FX Perfect Pencil Concealer in Medium FULL SIZE – Retail Value $20

(Shades will vary.)

I love Cover FX, and this little concealer crayon is super useful.

It provides full coverage, but it didn't do the job for my dark circles, however, it was perfect for little touchups, defining my brow arches, corners of my eyes, and lips. The formula was easy to blend out, too.

Here it is swatched underneath the eye crayon:

FORM Multitask. Leave-In Lotion - 50 ml Value $4.50

This is a leave-in conditioner spray. It's ingredient-conscious, and smells lovely, too. (The scent fades quickly, though.) I found the formula to be super lightweight and it made my hair feel softer, but I think I can apply it more liberally next time to get more signifcant results

Figs & Rouge Soft Focus Pore Perfect HD + Matte Veil FULL SIZE – $35

This is a serum/primer hybrid designed to help fight blemishes and provide a smooth, shine-free base for your foundation.

I liked the feel of the formula - it left my skin feeling extra smooth for makeup application. Did it help me with shine, though? Not really.

Unani Il-luminate Milk Cleanser – FULL SIZE! Value $18

(This item is identified as a "Glossy Fave" in the info booklet and will vary. I believe that means these items will all )

This creamy cleanser produces a lather (without sudsing) and was super gentle on my skin. It wasn’t really drying, but it left my skin super clean and ready for moisturizer! (It has a nice berry scent, too.)

Verdict: This box has a value of about $105. I think the value is great, and I'm impressed that almost everything is full-sized, (including a Cover FX item), and the Form Beauty hairline is a great brand discovery for me.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes!

  • Eye Crayon: $3.60
  • Concealer Pencil: $4
  • Serum/Primer: $7
  • Leave-In Conditioner: $.90

Interesting. I received at least a few of these exact same items when I was subbed to GB.

The cleanser is beautiful, but personally, I would purchase it elsewhere before resubbing to GB, due to the horrid CS I experienced with them a few times over my two year subscription.

I received the variation with the Bliss face wash. Even though I know that’s a significantly lower value than the Unani face wash (in fact I just saw it at Marshalls for something crazy like only $1.50), I’m still happy with it because I’ve used this face wash before and really liked it. The face wash, along with the rest of the products, more than made up the cost of the box for me. 🙂

I know I am in the minority, but I have enjoyed the last several months of Glossybox a lot more than Boxycharm. There wasn’t a single thing in this month’s Boxycharm that I will use and I will use all of these items. I cancelled Boxycharm so there is less of a wait for others.

Sam

I totally agree with you. I’m about to cancel BoxyCharm as well. The past two months have been duds for me. Glossy Box is a better fit for me

I too like Glossybox, but the only thing that keeps me from committing is customer service. They are so disorganized.

Redhed36

I can’t wait to get my box, it’s my last one from them. If they run anymore promotions I will jump on them. I am also going to align my next sub with the beginning of the month. Right now my items don’t ship until the 21st and that’s too long. LOL.

I like everything in Liz’s box and would be happy with this variant. I am thankful there are no lip products.

This wasn’t not a good box to me. I like the items In it and I know it’s worth a lot more than I got it for however the reason I subscribe is to try new things. I got three repeats this time and i certainly can’t use all of them again. The only way repeats would work is if you look at our surveys and gave us things that we loveD. Other than that the reason for glossy box Is to introduce us the customers to new items thank you

Seems like they have improved since being acquired.

Great box!

Nothing in this box appeals to me: I don’t need more nail polish or concealer, I already have both the cleanser and the eyeshadow, and I don’t use the leave-in conditioner. I have also found my HG primer, of which I have 3 tubes.

Glad I cancelled.

Sam

I really loved this box. Got to try some new things and enjoyed them all. The nail polish wasn’t a color I would have ever picked for myself, yet I ended up liking it.

Lauri

I LOVED the primer! I work 13 hour night shifts and my makeup has always melted off by the end of the night, no matter what primer/setting spray/foundations I used. Since switching to this primer, my makeup still looks great when I’m leaving work in the morning! I have noticed it’s not for sell on Figs and Rouge website though, so I’m stocking up while I can!

Rachel

i really liked the brush in the nail polish, it seemed wider than an average one.

This seems like one of the best glossyboxes I’ve seen in a while. They are finally sending more full size products and the colors aren’t off the wall or super taste specific. Yay!
