Let’s see what styles I received!
Striped Split Neck Balloon Sleeve Sweater in Revel Pink, Size L - Retail Value: $89.50, Cost to Keep: $53.50
I am normally not one for the color pink, but I am in love with this sweater! It is a wool/nylon blend and it is oh so comfortable. I love that the fit is a bit more roomy like an oversized sweatshirt, yet it has the feminine detail at the neckline and looks super stylish. I love it paired with my distressed "mom jeans" but I could see this working well with black skinny jeans or a pencil skirt. Just based on my personal style and need for comfortable clothes, I know that this is a piece that I will wear constantly!
Floral Smock Neck Blouse In Viva Red, Size L - Retail Value: $79.50, Cost to Keep: $47.50
I really wanted to love this blouse, however, I felt the overall fit was not super flattering on me. I have broader shoulders and thought that the flowy fit hung a bit odd from my shoulder to chest area. The sleeve detail and bold pattern really caught my eye, so much so that I tried so many ways to make this blouse work for me. The fabric is a polyester and spandex blend so there is a ton of wiggle room and give even at the neckline. The blouse itself is super thin so probably not good to wear on a super cold day, but this would make a great transitional piece from winter into the warmer spring months. I am so sad to see this one go back!
Lace Midi Flare Dress in Black, Size 12 - Retail Value: $149.00, Cost to Keep: $107
I always love adding dressier pieces to my closet, you never know when you are going to need a staple black dress, and it is always good to try different styles. This is a style that I don't currently own and was excited to try on. Made of 100% polyester, this dress is so well made and structured it gives you that "sit up straight" feeling the moment you zip it up. I love the lace overlay and extra details that you can see at the hem, waist, and neckline. I love how the ankle boots gave this dress a little edge, but I could see myself pairing this with a strappy heel as well to give it a very feminine look. This is the type of dress that I could have as a go-to piece for years to come or something that could work as a rental piece for someone with an upcoming event!
The Verdict: I thought this month's Infinite Style by Ann Taylor box was filled with the perfect rental pieces. I quickly fell in love with the pink sweater, so out of my color range, that once I wore it once I knew I had to keep it. The other two pieces were so much fun to try on before making a big purchase. The black lace dress was that sexy meets sophisticated dress that my closet needs, while I was happy to be able to wear the blouse a few times before deciding that it just wasn't my style after all. What I have found over my past few Infinite Style boxes is that the whole process is extremely easy, I can view their collection online to add whatever I want to my closet, I can try each piece on without the guilt of purchasing right at home, and then make any return I want for free - super quick and so easy! While this is a bigger budget box, I have found that I'm learning a lot about different styles that I normally wouldn't seek out on my own at a store, and I am falling back in love with the Ann Taylor brand!
To Wrap Up:
Can I still get this box if I sign up today? Each box is customized for you so a box will ship within a few days of building your closet profile!
Value Breakdown: This box costs me $95, but I received a total retail value of $318. I can wear and return for free. If I decide to keep the items from this month, I would pay $208 on top of the styling fee.
