Inspire Me Home Decor is a relatively new home decor subscription box. Each month you'll receive a box curated by Inspire Me founder, Farah Merhi.
FYI - this is the last month Inspire Me is sending out this version of their subscription. More details on their new options here.
My Subscription Addiction paid for this box. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).
Everything was packaged securely wrapped in bubble paper and arrived intact. (Super important for a home goods box!)
The Subscription Box: Inspire Me Home Decor Subscription Box
The Cost: $99.99
The Products: Each month you will receive hand picked décor and accents that can be styled together or separately. Each box you receive includes décor items themed around a specific space in your home.
Ships to: US only.
Typically, this subscription comes with a set of cards detailing what's included, with styling suggestions, but for the last box, they didn't include it.
Hammered Metal Tray - Estimated Value $25?
This tray measures 12 by 8 inches (not counting the handles).
The silver tray has hammered detail, and the gold handles feature leaves:
Normally I don't gravitate toward mixed metal pieces, but this piece totally works for me!
Glass Lid + Value - Estimated Value $30?
Inspire Me is known for sending out some dramatic tall pieces, and this one fits the bill - it is 20 inches tall with the lid.
Sadly, the lid doesn't completely fit the vase. I'm going to reach out to Inspire Me to see how they'll handle this issue.
But at least it is still usable without the lid as a vase!
Glass Cloche - Estimated Value $15?
This glass cloche measures about 11 inches tall and 9 inches wide.
The glass has a few imperfections, but still will work well for putting some items on display and safe from dust!
Faux Orchid - Estimated Value $20?
As far as fake plants go, this little guy is pretty convincing. Here's a closer look at the petals:
This is already on display on the shelves in my office. (Perfect for someone like me who forgets to water plants.)
Verdict: This box has an estimated retail value of about $90. I could be wrong on the value (I had to estimate everything since there were no info cards). Honestly, I can see why they are changing their subscription model. They send a lot of silver/glassware, and you only need so much. Getting only one piece a month, or a collection once a season makes sense.
I think for most home boxes the question comes up, "Could I buy similar items for less at Home Goods, TJ Maxx, etc?" If you're a bargain hunter and like putting together your own styled looks, I'd recommend going that route. If you see a value in getting coordinated items delivered to you complete with styling tips, I think this would be a great box.
