The Bleeker Satchel by With212 - Retail Value $98.00

The selection of bags that I could pick from this month felt really similar to last month's selection—lots of similar shapes. That's not a huge deal, and obviously, I found something to fit my tastes. Just something I noticed! I ended up picking this teal bag, mostly because the color is really gorgeous. The faux leather bag itself is very spacious at 8" x 12" x 7". It's the kind of thing that I'd want to use as a carryon or to bring with me to a day at a conference/event where I'd want to have a lot of things handy (water bottle, makeup bag, maybe a cardigan, etc.). It's just barely big enough for my smallish laptop, too!

I like that the bag comes with a removable shoulder strap and classic handles, so I can go sophisticated and classy or convenient and comfortable.

The Verdict: I liked this month's pick! It's sturdy and spacious, plus convenient, thanks to the shoulder strap. It is faux leather, so you're not getting the most high-quality bag, but if you're looking for trendy style and color, I feel like it fits the bill. I feel like the $45.00 mark is reasonable, especially if you count the curatorial service they provide. I'm excited to see what the monthly bag selection looks like as we move into spring/summer! Here's hoping for some fresh, warm-weather shapes and styles!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? You can definitely still sign up, but what bag you get depends on what you enter into your style profile and what's available. There's no guarantee that you'll get to pick this same look, but you might get something else that's just your style!

IC shows on their IG page some awesome bags ,bags to which I have not seen reviewed so I think they want their customers to go on their IG page.anymore the people who use social media seem to get the better end of things from some of these companies. JMO though I could be wrong.
I would much rather get a Coach bag which I collect and they are top quality and no I do not buy the newest styles ,but they are number 1 as far as quality.
The Coach website on their fraud page has list of where they sell and the coachoutlet has sales but you have to join and the sales last a few days great deals.

When you said this month’s selection was similar to last month’s, you nailed it. When I first joined IC, I LOVED it. I don’t mind house brands sometimes, but I got spoiled my 1st few months. I got a Betsey Johnson, then a brand I don’t remember but it was a tote set that I got tons of compliments on, then an AVI structured bag, then they started letting us choose. I was lucky the first time to snag a Steve Madden slouchy black bag that I still use every day since I got it months ago, but that was the end of that. Now the selection is so similar that half the time I wasn’t even choosing anymore, just seeing what they sent.

As I needed to tighten my budget, I started skipping the month because I was just no longer excited to see what I was getting from IC. How many of the same type bag do I need?? Finally, this month, when I really needed to make some cuts to my subs, this one was an easy choice to let go. I just got bored with it.

Note: The CS was always great. They just took away too many of the cool options so I no longer feel it’s worth the money, which I really need to be saving anyway.

When this box first appeared it had more variety (more brands you would know). I joined when IC was very very new. I first was on the monthly plan and then they had a deal where is was 100 for a seasonal set up (4 bags total for a year and this was an excellent deal). I just finished that prior to the new year. In total I got 7 bags from IC. The most well known brand would be a BCBG bag, which i have yet to reach for… In any case, I certainly see why the company may want to have some in house brands- I actually am using the AVI bag I got from them right now- as it would make sense financial wise for this company. However, I think they should also have some more well known brands for their customers. To note, I never had an issue with CS. They were always quick to respond to any questions via email (within 24 hours) and I did contact them 2 or 3 times while i had this box.

Ivory Clasp would appear to be on its last legs. I skipped last month because of limited selection and at the time, the CS rep said, “Oh, just email us if you don’t like your selection and we can send you a new link which will let you see all the handbags available.” They also said that they add new bags every month.

This month, my selection was 22 handbags and none were new to me, so I emailed CS and said, “Hey, can I get an expanded selection list so I can see all the available bags?” The reply came back, “That *is* all the available bags. Would you like a refund?” Well, yes.

I also asked about new bags being added and got crickets. I’m pretty sure they are just trying to liquidate backstock.

I was going to write something similar to all these comments, and was semi-surprised to see that everyone’s been having the same experience. I also got the lifetime discount, but quarterly, and was surprised that between the last time (December!) and now, the selection was pretty much the same. That December bag was a gift, so I wasn’t worried about not seeing anything I actually wanted, but when I contacted them this time to find out if they didn’t have other options, they just automatically issued me a refund–they’re probably getting lots of these complaints by now. Maybe the 29.95 for life was a way of getting rid of old stock, esp if they’re sinking?

I was thrilled when I got the 29.99 for life deal in November. Got an email saying my first bag was shipped. By the end of December I still had not received it. I had so many problems with them. They would say things like “this shipment has been stuck in this place and a lot of our customers are having the same problem.” I finally just gave up and cancelled. Bottom line- this company is dishonest. These brands are not sold any where else.

This is $49 per month now and their bags are designer only to them. These are brands no one else has heard of. The A.V.I. brand is their in-house brand and one of their founders’ first name is Avi. I liked the idea of getting a purse every month or being able to skip a month but they don’t seem to have a good variety anymore and the offerings to choose from, from month to month, don’t seem to change much and often included bags that were not in my preferred choices. I ended up cancelling even though I had gotten in on the $29.99 for life deal. I can go to a local store and get a bag of the same quality and put my hand on it and if I don’t like anything, I’m not obligated. I think this company is a sinking ship unfortunately.

So sad to hear about all of your negative experiences! It’s the worst to be so excited about a new subscription and be let down so hard. Thank you SO much for sharing, though!!! Hopefully, Ivory Clasp is reading and taking note!!!

Sadly, I agree. I also signed up for the $29 lifetime deal, but quarterly. The bag Anna reviewed was the first bag I got after signing up. Just got my second bag today. My selections this time around were most of the same bags as I was sent last time. I’m not sure I will cancel or not before the next renewal. But when I saw that deal, I really had a feeling the end would soon be approaching for them. Now that I’ve been subscribing, I have to say I can see why. They do technically offer you a lot of options to pick from. I didn’t count, but perhaps around 15? It’s just that they don’t change much at all with each new month/quarter.

Me too! I had the $29.99 for life deal, and I had to cancel because they kept sending the same brands out every month and it felt like that they didn’t even look at my profile.

Amazon has sold these for awhile, not a good amount but they do sell it. 🙂

That link SHOULD be the same bag in blackberry but it’s actual leather.

I do appreciate your review. But I have to be honest here. This bag looks cheap. Ivory Clasp is carrying brands like With212 that we never see anywhere else. It almost seems like the brand is founded exclusively for Ivory Clasp. Also, the retail price on the website is super inflated. For $98 we could get a decent designer bag that’s made of real leather. Why would anyone pay $98 for this?

Jennifer

It is a brand made by IC – they sent out an email a while back looking for investors which explained their whole business model. While they do have actual bag brands, several of their brand options are made in-house.
