kidpik is a seasonal clothing subscription for girls. You can either choose to receive 1 box per season (4 per year), 2 boxes per season (8 per year), or a box every month. All designs are unique to kidpik so you can’t find these pieces and accessories anywhere else.
This is basically a kid’s version of StitchFix, except there is no styling fee. If you keep all of the items in your box you get a 30% discount and a free top in your next box. You take an in-depth style survey based on your girl’s preferences, so your Kidpik may be completely different than ours.
This box was sent to us at no cost for review. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

kidpik Spring 2018 Review
When you sign up for kidpik, there are a lot of preferences that they ask you for regarding style, size, colors, patterns, and of course, how sparkly your girl is.
This is an easy profile to complete, and I like that they include options like “please do not include jeans” so that you can really tailor it to your girl’s clothing needs or preferences.
Included in the box was a pamphlet that had a little thank you note on the front and info about social media on the back. They tend to post a lot on social media, so if you ever want to see what other outfits they send out, I suggest you follow them!
The first page of the booklet provides some information on what you should do with the items in your box. You can exchange items for different sizes or return them for free using the pre-paid shipping bag that they included. There is also an option on their website to donate the pieces. This is from their website:
“Want to make the world a better place?
We came up with a plan for your girl to help a girl in need.
Complete checkout by paying for the entire box and receive a 30% discount. Select the items you wish to donate, and return the unworn merchandise in the enclosed free return envelope (included in your box). Affix the donation sticker included in your box to the outside of your return envelope.
kidpik will facilitate your donation through our partnership with Good + Foundation.”
This is the invoice that was sent in the box. As you can see, it provides specifics on the color, size, and price of each item. Our total came to $144.50 for all 7 items, but with the 30% discount for keeping all items, the total comes to $101.15. That’s a savings of $43.35 on these items if we choose to keep everything.
Inside each box, they include a free gift for your girl. This is yours to keep whether you keep any of the clothing items or not. I love that it comes in its own cute little bag, and it was a special surprise for my daughter. We received a little squishy waffle that looks like it’s dipped in chocolate and sprinkles- it also smells like a waffle! My daughter thought it was cute and I’m sure it will get a lot of use in our play kitchen. Now to figure out how to keep it out of baby brother’s mouth...
Studded Sandal Platino, Size Toddler 11 - Cost to Keep $29.50 ($20.65 with discount)
The shoes come in their own little drawstring bag, which I think is a nice touch. My daughter LOVES shoes so she was very excited about these. She has very wide feet so I ordered up a size and these fit her perfectly with a little room to grow.
They seem well made, but what I really liked about them was that they had two velcro straps at the top which helps to ensure a better fit. These are super cute and strappy- my daughter is already trying to wear them outside despite the ground being covered in snow at the moment and I like that they will go with any of the included outfits.
Fan Glitter Bracelet in Gold, one size- Cost to Keep $3.50 ($2.45 with discount)
I thought it was really fun that they included an accessory like this for her. She liked the glittery aspect and I liked that it had two different snap options so we could close it up tighter. Although it’s a little big on her, it’s a nice piece that she enjoys wearing and can keep for awhile since it fits now on the small snap and she can extend the size as she grows.
So let me preface the clothing pictures by telling you that this was our first “photo shoot” and my daughter had hurt her lip the previous day when we were out in the snow. I was trying to get through the items quickly and in doing so, I completely forgot to take pictures from the back, but hopefully, there is still enough here to give you an idea of the style and quality of the clothing! I’m happy to answer any questions!
Star Cold Shoulder Dress in Navy, size XS (5/ 6)- Cost to Keep $24.50 ($17.15 with discount)
This was my daughter’s favorite item from the box. She loves dresses (dresses and shoes- I don’t know how I ended up with such a girly girl!)! Despite loving this, she had a really hard time with the sleeves being open and kept taking her arms out and tucking them in. She is only 3, but she is incredibly tall for her age and normally in a 5T or 6, so I was happy to see that this size 5/ 6 is long enough for her since a lot of dresses end up being too short. I loved the flowy material (100% Rayon) and the design is really cute. It will be a great spring and summer dress!
Best Day Ever Tee in White, Size XS (5/ 6)- Cost to Keep $12.50 ($8.75 with discount)
I like that they included something so basic in the box- I liked the design and the phrase wasn’t anything too cheesy. It’s a cute little shirt that we can wear casually with the included pants or dress up with the flowered skirt.
Super Soft Skinny Calypso pants in Coral, Size 5- Cost to Keep $19.50 ($13.65 with discount)
These pants are exactly as described: super soft and skinny with just enough stretch due to the 2% rayon (98% cotton). I was so happy that a size 5 was actually a little bit long on her so they will fit her for awhile! The color is so great with spring and pairs really nicely with the tee from our box. I’ve never bought her colored pants (other than leggings) before so it was nice to receive something I wouldn’t necessarily have chosen myself. I also love that they have the little button detail inside that allows for adjustment of the waist ensuring a perfect fit.
Floral Poof Skirt Hibiscus, Size XS (5/ 6)- Cost to Keep $15.50 ($10.85 with discount)
This skirt is so cute! I love the sheer flowery layer over the navy underskirt. The elastic waistband is a sparkly silver which really adds to the skirt’s dressy style. The top layer is actually very thick despite being sheer and it feels really well made. I also think it makes a cute pairing with our tee for a casual look, but would also look very nice with a dressier top. The skirt has just enough poof to make it feel like a tutu, which is currently an essential requirement for my daughter’s wardrobe.
Quilted Chambray Baseball Jacket in Baltic Sea, Size XS (5/ 6)- Cost to Keep $39.50 (27.65 with discount)
The last item is mommy’s favorite! I love everything about this jacket. It is just the right weight for spring and it pairs perfectly with any outfit- jeans or a dress. It has a nice satiny feeling liner inside and is again a tiny bit big on her, but that just means she can wear it for longer.
I really like the quilted detail- it makes it feel like high quality and the little eyelet flowers give it just enough of a girly feel. She doesn’t have a spring jacket yet, so this was probably the most useful item that we received in our box. She’s already worn it out two days in a row and asks to wear it whenever we leave the house and I’m happy to let her!
The Verdict: I was really impressed with our first kidpik box! I felt like there was a lot of variety within the 7 items we received and I loved that they can all work well separately or together. The fact that they included shoes and an accessory made it feel like such a complete shopping experience. I definitely think that they used our style quiz to pick our items because they hit right on my daughter’s (and my) style. I also loved that everything fit my daughter so well and the sizes were consistent- since all of the clothes are exclusive to Kidpik, this makes me feel like the quality is really there. The styles were adorable and for what we received, I felt like the discounted price of $101.15 was really fair. Plus I love that there is the option to donate items easily if you choose to!
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? kidpik curates its boxes based on each individual’s preferences as well as what season it is. You might get something that fits your girl’s style even better than the items that we received.

Value Breakdown: This box cost $0 with free shipping and returns. The total retail value of the items inside is $144.50. The invoice lists the cost of each item next to it, but if we keep all 7 items, then we get a 30% discount. This would bring the price down to $101.15 for the 7 items, which is an average of $14.45 per item. This is a little higher than their average price point of $12-$13 per piece, but I think that’s reasonable considering we received a jacket, shoes and a dress in this box.
