Korean Snacks Box March 2018 Review
This was my first time getting this subscription box so I didn’t know what to expect. As soon as I opened the box and saw the pink confetti paper I knew I was in for a treat:
I was intrigued by the Bokjumeoni silk bag that was inside (which is included free in every box) and even more so, not knowing what was inside of that thing! Well, it turned out there were more treats! Also inside was a paper describing the treats in this month’s box.
Margaret - Buy a 12-pack here for $3.29
There are two of these buttery softbread cookies in each packet. The outside is slightly crunchy while the inside is soft and chewy with hints of butter, almond, and vanilla. I’d like to have these with a coffee or tea in the morning.
Jelly Bab - Buy a single pack here for $5.90
I really liked these! They are your typical fruit flavored gummy candies, but the ocean themed shapes were great. Squids, whales, octopi...fun stuff!
Otteu
Described as “a cute chocolate cake bar with glazing on top” is exactly what this is. Not my favorite item in the box, but it has a unique flavor almost like a Tootsie Roll.
Crunky - Retail Value $4.80
This was by far my favorite snack in the box. All I can say about this is “layers”! Crispy shell, chewy cake interior and white cream in the middle. Decadent.
Custard - Buy a 6-pack here for $1.99
These little sweet cakes are filled with custard and made from local Korean milk, eggs, and cream. The texture is very spongy and would be great as an afternoon treat with some tea.
Mon-Cher - Buy a 6-pack here for $2.59
Similar to a traditional American Ho-Ho or Ding Dong, this was a chocolate covered treat. Chocolate laze on the outside and a white creamy filling on the inside. Very rich and I don’t think I could eat more than one in a sitting.
Pepero Vanilla Black Cookie - Buy an 8-pack here for $9.59
These were my second favorite item next to the Crunky bars. It’s like a deconstructed Oreo on a stick! They have a white vanilla cream over cookie crumbles on a crispy breadstick. Another snack that would be great with a coffee.
Lollipop Ice - Buy a 15-pack here for $17.99
The shapes of these were more exciting than the flavors, which while delicious, were pretty standard flavors. But you get a shark, watermelon, and spiral shape. Lots of fun!
Verdict: This was a fun box and I definitely had my fill of treats reviewing the contents. The majority of the snacks were really unique and with the Crunky bar being something totally out of the ordinary. It seems some of these items are very expensive to buy in the States (and one I could not even find) so the value is definitely on point.
To Wrap Up:
Can I still get this box if I sign up today? No, you will get the April box.

Value Breakdown: With a $23.95 subscription cost you are paying roughly $1.60 per item. Many of these items were hard to find online and only available for purchase in bulk packages. For the ones that are available, the retail cost of everything included in this month’s box was very close to the cost of the box, especially when you add in the silk bag and free shipping from Korea!
