Laserbrain Patch Co March 2018 Review
Each month you'll see a small coloring page/postcard in your bubble mailer that fits the theme.
On the reverse side, you'll get to read all about what's included and how it pertains to the theme. This month is all about those classic 8-bit video games that are making a comeback!
The Legend of Zelda Heart Container Enamel Pin - Listed Retail Value $7.00
These three heart containers let you know how much life Link has left in the game before you'll have to start again. It's made of silver metal with red, black, and white enamel with two pin backs to keep it secure and straight on your jacket or tote. This way, you really can wear your heart on your sleeve.
8-bit Key Hand-stitched Magnet - Listed Retail Value $5.00
This magnet is itsy bitsy (1 x 1.5") and was hand-stitched to create an 8-bit key from a classic game. I had to reach out to my resident Nintendo-knowledgable friend to ask what game it's from and she's thinking it's "90% from Mario Bros", but could be from another. Throw this little baby up on your fridge or any other metal object to show your love of the old school.
Mario Bros Inspired Skull Patch - Listed Retail Value $8.00
This one is an original design by @jmwulfe and incorporates iconic Mario Bros items to create a heavy-duty iron-on patch that's a little nerdy and a little punk. If you spent hours of your life trying to save Princess Toadstool in the 80s, you'll probably enjoy this item.
Dr Mario Cartridge Coaster - Listed Retail Value $1.00
This is my personal favorite because although I don't play many video games these days, I will DESTROY my friends in Dr Mario when we play on my friend Kellz's NES Classic Edition Console. Puzzle games are my favorite and Dr Mario is just what the doctor ordered, so to speak. This coaster is on the flimsy side, so I'm going to hang it up on my cork board as a makeshift badge of honor. I dare you to come take it from me.
Verdict: I really enjoyed this month's Laserbrain Patch Co. installment that focused on the games I grew up with. Patches and pins are always fun to receive and I think they kept this one fairly minimal but with quality goodies from indie makers.
