Loved + Blessed March 2018 Review

This month’s Loved + Blessed theme is “Put On Love.”

There is a theme card that’s on the inside of the front lid of the box.

Mini Poster

This month’s mini poster says, “Do Everything In Love” and on the back of the poster, there’s the scripture, 1 Corinthians 16:14.

Reminder Sticker

The reminder sticker says, “Love.”

Scripture Card

This month’s scripture comes from Colossians 3:14 NLT:

Above all, clothe yourselves with love, which binds us all together in perfect harmony.

The scripture from Colossians is appropriate there are numerous scriptures in the Bible on Love, but I like this one it communicates what Love is supposed to mean.

Iron-On Heart

I haven’t seen and iron-on patch since I was a kid, this is a nostalgic surprise. The iron-on patch is a pink heart with “loved” on the front. I will need to find a garment or tote where I would like to display the patch. I look forward to applying to my personal belongings and reminding me that I’m loved.

Heart Ring

I was excited to see what type of jewelry I would be receiving. When I opened the box, I was disappointed by what I saw, a ring that I would find in a cracker jack box, more suitable for a child. The gold heart ring is adjustable; the band has no closure, so you're able to move the band to fit your finger. The ring fits me perfectly. I appreciate the gesture in including a piece of jewelry symbolizes love, but they have had quality jewelry in previous boxes that were suitable for wearing. I’m aware that each taste differs and this may be of interest to their subscribers.

Perfume Bottle

I was excited to test out the perfume, but when I removed the lid from the bottle and proceeded to spritz myself with the perfume, the bottle was empty. After reaching out to Loved + Blessed they informed me that the perfume bottle was intended to be empty so that I can fill it with my favorite fragrance. They didn’t indicate that on the info card and realized it should have been. I don’t have any fragrance that I could transfer to this perfume bottle, but I guess I could mix some essential oils and put in the bottle. Either way, this is not appealing.

Encouragement Kit

Loved + Blessed include an Encouragement Kit with every subscription box. I love the idea of an encouragement kit. It is meant to be passed on to a stranger or as an encouragement for someone I know. The encouragement kit this month is a Giving Jesus Daily Inspiration Flip Coloring Book. The booklet is good for a week and each day has an encouraging scripture, quote, and a design to color. I may keep this for myself. Their encouragement kits have been more and more creative.

From Giving Jesus:

Daily Inspiration Coloring Books offers a creative way to help you on the tough days, regular days, sad days, or any day in between. The pages of the book offer hope, scriptures and areas for writing or adding creative thoughts to your journal. “Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace…” Romans 15:13

Giving Jesus coloring books are filled with uplifting words of inspiration, scripture verses, lines to write on, and hand drawn designs to color. Each book is designed to bring inspiration and encouragement to children and adults who want to take a break from the hustle and bustle of life and just relax in your own creativity.

Verdict: This month’s Loved + Blessed box was not favorable, the main items were a disappointment and not well received. Since receiving this box, their main items have been lackluster, lately a huge change from products I received previously. I’m aware this subscription box is different from other of boxes, but the quality of the merchandise has shifted, and the merchandise comes across cheap, i.e., the ring or last month’s cosmetics bag. This box does deliver on encouraging my soul with the monthly scriptures, and the mini-poster plus, their theme and color design that runs throughout the box is well coordinated and lovely, but they need to step up their game with their main products that reflect their monthly theme. This month’s box, in my opinion, is not worth $19.99.

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? No, order by the 21st of each month to get the next month's box. If you sign up today, you will receive the April box.

Wow…nice theme for the box but I don’t see the value in the items and I would have been disappointed to receive this (too many paper products and the other items seem dollar store quality). Maybe they will do better for future boxes.

Jessica

I definitely agree with your opinions! This box as a great premise but subscribers still want quality items to accompany the religious items.
