Im an hour and a half from the nearest whole foods but luckily my husband was going to be in that area. He went at 11 and didnt see any but the manager was able to find a few “in the back”. So luckily I got one, but the clerk told him there was no limit on how many people could buy so earlier in the day people were taking as many as 5 or more each – not cool. Guess thats why they were already showing up on ebay for $40+!

Walked into my local WF @ 8:24 AM yesterday & grabbed the last one! The employees were shocked @ how fast they sold out.

I got one from the Hoover , AL & it was missing 4 items!! The burts bees lipstick, acure scrub, waleda skin food, & w3ll people mascara.
😞 I’m going to my local store in chattanooga , TN in the morning to see if there is anything they will do. Anybody else have this happen ?

I noticed at mine a lot of bags were picked through..so rude

There was a person standing near the display at one WF I went to so I don’t think that
customers could “create their own bag”. Another WF had the display right in front of the cashiers so that behavior would have been noticed.

Gigi

Oh that’s too bad. Hope they can give it to you in the storeZ

I was sitting in my car outside of the Whole Foods in Berkeley (on Gilman) waiting for them to open at 8am! I called the night before and they said the Gilman store got 50 bags and Oakland got 200. The girl said she had heard mixed things about whether or not they would start handing them out at 8am when the stores opened or 10am. I decided to go at 8am to try my luck and would “argue” that the WF blog didn’t say 10am and see if they would give me one early on that technicality if they weren’t already out yet. Luckily, they were putting them out at 8am and I was the first to grab them. They were just handing them out so I couldn’t open them to see different headband patterns (and wouldn’t have known to do so anyway; my headband is blue with white and it’s not my favorite but fine for holding my hair back when I wash my face). They were strictly enforcing the one per customer rule. A mother and daughter both wanted one and the salesperson in Whole Body said they would have to check out separately!

That’s my Whole Foods store too! I got one at 8:20 and the staffer handing the bags out said they had already sold half the bags they’d been sent. I was worried they wouldn’t do the bags this year since Amazon bought Whole Foods out … Let’s see what happens next year!

I just went to Whole Foods in West Los Angeles. They were sitting out but just 3 left at 12pm. I took one for myself and had asked a friend who is home and going through cancer treatment if she wanted one too. She loves stuff like this. I figured I’d just drive to another WF since there are a few by me. But I tried to purchase 2 there. I got to the register and the cashier told me they were one to a customer (but she was really sweet about it) and I explained why I was getting 2. She checked with the manager and they allowed me to purchase 2. Thanks Whole Foods. My friend is a regular WF customer but just not well enough to get out right now on her own. And she’s in her 60’s. This will def cheer her up.

Went to the Boston Store (near Symphony Hall) at 1030am and got one. There were about 20 or so left. I heard one employee telling another what items she traded with a co-worker, so the employees definitely got first dibs. I wasn’t aware of the three extra items with pre-order, and never received an email regarding this.
The bag is stuffed full (two mascaras!) and I also got some samples of Giovanni 2 Chic shampoo and conditioner near the other beauty items.

Cindy

Did anyone here know about the pre-order option (with three extra full size products)? I wish I had known that last week!

If anyone got it, please let us know what extra products were received.

Reply ButtonReply

Janet

I think pre-order was for their 25% off sale. You could put stuff aside in a bag with your name, then pick it up and get 25% off once the sale started. This is different from their beauty bag. At least that’s how it was at my store. Mine wouldn’t even sell the beauty bags until 10am, fortunately, I was due for a break and headed over and got 1. It was at least worth the $20…but I would suspect next year things will be different, but not in a good way.

Jennifer

Yes, I really want to know how they pre-ordered!

Cindy

What do you use it for? Thanks.

For anyone who lives around Santa Monica, CA – The Wilshire and 23rd store sold out apparently at 8:30a but the Montana and 14th store still had some as of 9:45a. (I only took one even though there were no limit signs.) Good luck.

Luna

My store didn’t have a 1 per customer sign either, but they were still enforcing the rule. 🙁

Plenty left at the Pearl District (Portland) WF at 9:00 a.m., the display is near the registers. The clerk told me they were going fast and last year, they sold out by lunch time. I think this is their best bag to date – it’s packed full! I’ve already broken out the Dr. Hauschka balm and love it. Several products have coupons attached (Dr. H is $10 off $50), so be sure and check before you throw the packages away. The actual bag is great – fully lined and spacious!

I got one there at 9:45 and they still had a dozen or so left that I could see. I also got one at the Bridgeport Village store at 9am, and they had several left as well, but it’s 1pm now and unless they had more stock in the back, I’m sure they are gone.

Sara

Wow! They did go fast….I am glad you got one and hope you enjoy it. I had lots of fun going through the contents. The year before last, they had beauty bags available for a solid two weeks.

Luna

Oooh, I was going to go to WF this weekend to take advantage of the beauty sale (most likely getting some Dr. Hauschka products), so I’m hoping I can stack the coupons with the 25% off!

Reply ButtonReply

jenn

haha. I was just there at 11 and there were maybe 8 left?

My husband got me one in Hoover, AL 12:00 CT. There was 11 left & by the time he grabbed one there was only 5 left. They were going very quickly!!

Went to the Whole Foods store (on Westlake Ave. in Seattle) at 7:00 AM when the store opened (while on my way to work). It looked like ~30 bags were shelved as part of a small display? Five or six people waiting for the store to open were there to purchase this item. Last year I snagged on one my lunch break; this year, I don’t think there will be any left after mid-morning!

I went at 10 a.m. to the Westlake Whole Foods. They were already sold out. Sigh. I spent my $20 on their macaron bar.

I went to the Roosevelt one at 7 this morning and was the first one to get one, but when I checked out the gal said that she thought they’d be out by 11am. Hope everyone who wanted one got one!
They also had some in paper bags with names on them below the two shelves of them, I assume there was an early sale for those.

Reply ButtonReply

MeowKitty

I just sent my husband to grab one at Roosevelt and he reported less than 20 left.

ct

I hadn’t heard of pre-orders either – but apparently everyone else in my town did, because the whole lot was already stashed away for pre-orders. Customer Service said they didn’t have any left over. 🙁
How did I miss this?!

The Whole Foods beat me in Chicago told me they would not hold any bags. That it was first come first served. I wonder if that was company policy or left up to each location?

Reply ButtonReply

Jennifer

Call out from Fresno Ca, they arent handing the bags out until 10am. I came at 9:15 and was the 1st person! This is so exciting! I just happened to be on vacation! I missed them last year.

I got to the Lakewood, CO, Whole Foods around 9AM, and they had about 30 ish bags left. They also had a prize wheel to win additional products for free. I won an Andalou Vitamin C Serum (retail $19.99), so the bag practically paid for itself!

Luna

I have two WF within about 2 miles from my work, so I got to the first one around 7:05, and I thought it was cute, because I could see ladies walking out of the store with the bag, ladies clearly on a mission (like me!) walking into the store, and some already checking out with them. But despite that, that WF (at the time) still had a tone of bags left. I then made a quick drive to the other WF, and got there around 7:20, and they were just putting them out. I was the only one with the bag in that store, so there were no shared looks of achievement in that store. haha

I was at Irvine WF at 9am. They had 6 left. They were shipped 60 bags. So they went fast. Really nice collection of goodies and zipperedbag

Reply ButtonReply

Svetlana7e

I was at Irvine WF as well at 8am, there were about 25-30 bags. I got one. Guy at the register said that “strictly one per customer”.

Reply ButtonReply

Frances

Really glad to see that they are enforcing this so as many people as possible have a chance to get a bag!

Lucia

I just tried the Burts Bees lipstick and I really like the shade! It’s much more of a neutral color on, not as bright as it looks in the tube,, and feels nice and moisturizing.

Whole Foods opened up a few blocks from my office, so I left a little early today to grab one, around 9am. The cashier said I was about the 10th person to purchase. She wanted to get one, but she said she wasn’t allowed to purchase even at full price… I didn’t see the bags on display, so I had to ask and she pulled out one from the drawer. Maybe they are tying to avoid selling more than 1 per customer. The bag seems to pull easily, but soft and nice. I am curious about pre-order. Looks like a lot of nice products. Clean beauty items are always welcome!

WF staff were purchasing when I went to one in Portland, OR. I saw at least 3 staff buying one and one of those was buying two. (there is a limit to 1 per customer).

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Awww, that’s too bad that the cashier at your store couldn’t get one. My cashier said she bought one for her daughter.

Reply ButtonReply

Frances

In my store, they allowed the employees to purchase a bag for themselves. I saw at least 3 of the cashiers go get one after they rang out the customers who bought them.

I went to my closest WF and they were sold out by 52 mins after opening. The girl that worked in body said they sold out in 45 mins. I was devastated. Yes…devastated. So I called the next one about 25 min further away(who told me they were instructed NOT to hold them for people) and they had about 20 left. I flew there to grab one for me and one for my daughter (we always look forward to this bag each year) I was able to pick us one up. Yay! They were going quick too only a couple left on the table.

Reply ButtonReply

Luna

Lucky! I wasn’t allowed to get more than one (I wanted to get one for my mom too), so I had to make a little treck to another WF that was nearby. Not too bad, just a tad inconvenient.

Reply ButtonReply

AprilW

I got mines at 11:00am and they still had like 15 bags left..lol

Reply ButtonReply

How can you pre order a bag which supposedly only went on sale today? I know that prior to the sale starting, you could have made your selection of the items that were going to be on sale (facial care, cosmetics, hair care, etc) , have them set aside for you to pay and pick up during the sale. Other than that, I haven’t read or heard anything about pre ordering this bag and no one told me that when i got mine (NYC). The bags were sitting on a shelf with no names attached to them.

Did any one find out what the three full size items are and how you go about pre ordering in the future?

Grabbed one in Henderson, NV! They had a lot left just a few minutes ago.

Really no excuse for me since I can walk to Whole Foods.

Noticed headbands are different patterns. Snagged a solid charcoal one. There is also a $10 coupon in the lip balm.

Have a great weekend everyone!

Frances

My headband is black and white and has chevron pattern markings very similar to the bag.

Reply ButtonReply

Trish

There is also a $10 coupon on the headband tag. It is easy to miss!

Tricia

I saw that coupon after I posted. Thanks Trish!
