The parent pack also comes with a product list, but their card has a little letter with some details about the #beyondthebox campaign this subscription is starting. Organize and Chill Planner - Retail Value $12.95 (Found here for $6.48)

Does Papersource make the coolest stationery or what? I can totally see tweens digging this Papersource "Organize and Chill"—I'm an adult and even I'm super into it! It's super colorful, plus there are plenty of pops of metallic gold for a bit more fun. Inside, there are several pages of stickers (of everything from emoji to sushi), a spread of astrological signs and their meanings, full month spreads, weekly spreads with lined areas for note taking, and even reflective question prompts at the end of each month, so your tween can take stock of what they did, felt, and learned. SO cool!

UR Skin Skincare Kit - Retail Value $18.50

The coolest thing about this skincare line is that it was actually developed by a tween! These Australian skincare products are made without a lot of the synthetic ingredients you find in a lot of commercial brands. Isn't it cute how they include a headband to hold back your bangs while you wash your face? My favorite was the lip balm (it's not sticky and has a lovely vanilla aroma), though the face wash and moisturizer were nice, too. While the lip balm feels pretty crowd-pleasing, I do worry that not all tween skin will appreciate the cleanser and moisturizer. Not because they aren't awesome, but because I remember my skin at that age and boyyyy, was it finicky! Does your tween use these products? What do they think?

It came with a coupon card, too!

Lovely Candy Company Sour Honey Gummy Bears, 6 oz. - Retail Value $4.99

Gummy bears aren't my favorite, but I do think that this is a great idea for a tween snack! They're colorful and sweet and come in three yummy flavors. Plus, these natural candies are sweetened with honey!

dusty rose satin jacket

dusty rose satin jacket with back ruffle

Hayden Girl Ruffle Jacket - Retail Value $37.95

This jacket is so awesome! Ruffles and dusty rose are both so in right now, that I could see a tween really loving this fashionable zip-up. The jacket is 100% polyester and has a super soft satin finish. I did notice a few loose, feather-light threads drifting out of the side seam, so know that this somewhat delicate jacket might not be one for tumbling around the park. But for a fun topper for a dressy look or a special night out (maybe a birthday party), it'd be perfect!

Bold Bandz Headband - Estimated Value $8.99

While I couldn't find this specific design on the Bold Bandz site, most of their other products are $8.99, so that's what I listed above. I love the colors in this headband, which has a surprising amount of stay-put-ness to it. (The black underside of the band is that kind of velvet-ish fabric that you find on clothes hangers to help prevent clothes from slipping off.) The back elastic part of the headband has a little adjustable bit like you'd find on a bra strap, so this headband can grow with your tween!

The Verdict: I, of course, can't speak for tweens on this one, but as an adult, I feel like this is something I'd feel comfortable getting for a tween in my life. I like the emphasis on empowerment and fun, and that the products in the box try to appeal to all different parts of a tween girl's life (style, self-care, confidence, plans and dreams). It also just feels fresh to me—when I was a tween, I could sniff out a cheesy present a mile away, hehe. I feel like this box feels very relevant (especially with that trendy, unique jacket) so that tweens might really enjoy it! Do you have a tween (or are you one yourself)? I'd love to hear your opinion of these items, and get some different perspectives in the comments!

To Wrap Up:

Can you still get this box if you sign up today? Yes! Though only a few of these boxes are left, according to their site. Hurry!

Value Breakdown: This quarterly box cost $59.95 with free US shipping. Based on my estimates, I got about $83.38 worth of products inside. Proportionally, I paid about the following for each item I got:

  • Planner - $9.31
  • Skincare kit -  $13.30
  • Gummies - $3.59
  • Jacket -  $27.29
  • Headband - $6.46

TK

Great box for a teen. I would definitely get this but I have 3 boys.

Aw man, they need to do a box for boys next! I’m glad to hear they have a solid sense of what teens (well, girls, at least) like 🙂 Thanks for reading, TK!
