VNYL is a monthly subscription for discovery and curation of your vinyl record collection. When you sign up for this service, you'll fill out a lengthy profile that includes your likes and dislikes. From there, you can also link your profiles on digital audio services like Spotify and Sound Cloud - this will help with curating your record selection each month.
My Subscription Addiction pays for this subscription. (Check out the review process post to learn more about how we review boxes).

February 2018 #jamuary VNYL Review
This month returned to the standard 3 albums - including one that I already own, Local Natives.
It comes with a little greeting card with two stickers.
It comes with a handwritten note from your personal curator. I've always found this to be a nice touch - and more than enough info to understand the picks!
Local Natives - Gorilla Manor - Value $17 on Amazon
I already own both this album and the second LP, Hummingbird, from Local Natives. While that's a little bit of a bummer, it'll still be fun to gift to a friend.
Both albums are just fantastic - I can't recommend these enough. The albums in this subscription are typically the standard vinyl options, stuff you can buy in the store, so it's not typical to get any type of exclusive pressing even though it happens once in a while.
DAAP Girls - Look Inside Your Love - Value $18 on Amazon
My second album was new to me and came from the band DAAP Girls.
This was more on the lo-fi side of the spectrum. It's a little poppy, a little garage-y - it's a decent album, but not a favorite.
Silversun Pickups - Swoon - Value $20 on Amazon
The final album comes from Silversun Pickups.
This one arrived with a digital download card, while I always appreciate when purchasing vinyl!
This is more towards the grung-y side of things. I had heard a little bit from Silversun Pickups in the past, but this was my first full-album listen. The album is pretty good - I find myself liking the music quite a bit more than the vocals, though.
Verdict: This month's VNYL delivery took a bit of a value hit for me since I own 1 of the 3 records. I wasn't blown away by either of the other two selections, but that tends to happen from time to time when you're into these subscriptions for a bit of music discovery.
To Wrap Up:
Can you still get this box if you sign up today? This subscription is customized to your music preferences. While you may select the same 'vibe' as me, you likely won't receive the same three albums as I do.
